Guide

This encounter focuses on the various untargetable orbs that will often appear in mechanics. Orbs can be light, earth, or wind-aspected. Orbs that are hit by another attack of the same element will explode as a late telegraphed massive point-blank AoE.

  • Radiant Wave: Party-wide magical damage. This first usage will also spawn four untargetable Holy Orbs around the arena.
  • Aetherial Exchange: The boss tethers all of the orbs, causing two to transform into Sand Spheres and the other two to Gale Spheres.
  • Ancient Stone III: The aetherial sphere seems responsive to elemental attacks... Four telegraphed earth-aspected conal AoEs, leaving gaps in between. Both Sand Spheres will be hit by an AoE and explode (Sand Surge), so go towards the Gale Spheres.
  • Ancient Aero III: Four telegraphed wind-aspected conal AoEs, leaving gaps in between. Both Gale Spheres will be hit by an AoE and explode (Wind Surge).
  • Holy Blaze: The boss will face a random player, take flight, and its mouth will be glowing, indicating a frontal line AoE with no ground telegraph.
  • Scratch: Telegraphed physical tankbuster.
  • Radiant Wave (version 2): Similar as before, but two light-aspected proximity AoE telegraphs (Ancient Holy) will also spawn. Go far away from them and away from any Holy Orbs closest to them, as they will be hit and explode (Light Surge), leaving two small safe spots at the walls. Immediately followed by Holy Blaze, so move away from the boss' front afterwards.
  • Radiant Wave + Aetherial Exchange: Now spawns multiple earth or wind-aspected orbs around the arena.
  • Double Cast: The boss will spawn three sets of two opposite conal AoE telegraphs. For each set, one cone will be wind and the opposite will be earth. Each elemental conal AoE will hit one orb of the same element, causing it to explode. There are 2 dodging patterns, but in each case, start at where the third set of AoEs spawn and dodge into the first set of the same element.
    • If the first cone hits an orb of the same element near the wall, then dodge into the first cone in melee range of the boss to avoid the first set of orb explosions. Then move away from the center while remaining in the same sector to avoid the second and third explosions.
    • If the first cone hits and orb of the same element close to the boss, then dodge into the first cone at the wall to avoid the first set of orb explosions. Then move to the center of the room to avoid the remaining explosions.
    • Both AoE patterns will be used in a random order.
  • Radiant Wave + Ancient Holy will then be used again but immediately followed by Ancient Stone III + Ancient Aero III that functions as it did at the start of the encounter.
