Barrier
Barriers (often called shields) have the ability to absorb a certain amount of incoming damage before a player loses HP. (Some instances of unique damage are able to bypass barriers.) They are primarily granted by barrier healers (
Scholar and
Sage) and tanks, but several other jobs are able to generate barriers, primarily for themselves. As certain barriers grant additional effects when they are completely absorbed, there is a priority system that determines the order in which barriers are consumed to absorb damage.
In this table, any items on the same line either cannot coexist (self-buffs from different jobs) or are the same buff from multiple sources.
Parentheticals indicate the name of the barrier buff, if it is not the same as the skill's name.
