Talk:Blue Mage Spells Learning Guide

Please revert to the old single table, as it's far easier to sort and understand. The page-per table is missing things like duty level, which is far more useful. Tried to see if I could revert it but it'd be far easier to roll it back. Perkprincess (talk) 02:57, 14 June 2021 (UTC)

I wish I could have some indication in-game of what monsters are going to give me powers without having to blindly attack them enough times to conclude that the RNG is not holding out on me. Being able to look at the power names and their associated location is a step in that direction without having to jump straight into spoilers and a checklist of monsters to kill.

Bad Breath learning location

You can also learn Bad Breath from lvl. 34 Stroper near Camp Tranquil/South Shroud (20,28)

High Voltage learning locaiton

You can also learn High Voltage from the Bestial Node in Masked Carnival stage 15

Alternative Spell Locations.

No. 74, Reflux; lv55 The Aery; First boss. No. 75, Devour; lv50 The Lost City of Amdapor; First boss. No. 63, Sonic Boom; lv50, Coerthas Western Highlands, Blackblood Zu; Spawns at the Brazier for the 'Ancient Wisdom' side quest

Spell level Pre-requisites.

The pre-requisites for whistle, reflux and frogs legs are all incorrect and can be gotten at lvl55 (possibly lower, i can't check). Got all of em at lvl55 while min lvl says 56, 56 and 59.

inconsistencies

In the general blue mage page, it states you do not need to be of a certain level to learn a spell and that you can learn a spell while defeated, on the contrary to this page. As noted in the section above, the minimum level prerequisite is false.

Potential extra spell locations

Enkidu in Battle in the big keep casts both eerie soundwave and white wind, might be able to obtain them from it.

Perpetual Ray spell locations

No. 69, Perpetual Ray; in Alexander - The Burden of the Son, Onslaughter uses it, but it cannot be learned here, as the enemy disappears and changes form, instead of being defeated.
