Upon speaking with Linu Vanu, you learn that his recent attempts at soothsaying bear ill portent for the tribe. A gaelicat he released fell promptly from the sky, to be seen no more. Fearing that Ok' Gundu's ancestors look down upon the tribe with disdain, he bids you travel to the Gundu totem at the old Ok' Gundu village, and place an offering of weeping wildwort. Present this offering along with the sundrop dance to quell their fury. Weeping wildwort can be found growing wild in patches at the Cromlech.

You have obtained the weeping wildwort. Take these flowers to Ok' Gundu and place them before the Gundu totem.

The weeping wildwort flowers lie at the foot of the Gundu totem. Dedicate this offering to the ancestors by performing the sundrop dance.

The flowers have been accepted. The contract is sealed. Return to Linu Vanu.

Linu Vanu thanks you for your assistance in calming the rage of his ancestors. However, he does now recall that the gaelicat he released to obtain this omen smelled strongly of intoxicating cloudcrawler...

After speaking with Linu Vanu, you learn that a rough and violent Vundu has been driving Gundu hunters from Gundu land. He asks you to help in letting this Vundu brute know firsthand the shame of being driven from his own land—by chasing him from his home with violent blasts of wind from a trained sanuwa. Speak with Luna Vanu. He will gladly supply you with a sanuwa to do just that.

Eager to help give the Vundu a taste of their own medicine, Luna Vanu provides you with what he claims is the strongest sanuwa in the village. Now find the Vundu brute and use the sanuwa to buffet him with wind.

*Speak with Luna Vanu in Ok' Gundu Nakki to mount a sanuwa.

You blast the Vundu brute with the full force of the sanuwa's attack, but he merely relocates, continuing his activities elsewhere. Seek him out again and buffet him once again with another flurry from the sanuwa.

The Vundu brute stands strong in the face of yet another onslaught from your sanuwa. After speaking a few words of defiance, he relocates yet again. Track him down once more and show him that you will not give up so easily.

You buffet the Vundu brute one last time. With no end in sight to these attacks, the bully loses heart and flees. Report back to Linu Vanu that this thug has now been put in his place.

Linu Vanu is pleased with your work and grateful that his tribe's hunters need no longer fear assault by this violent Vundu warrior. He does note, however, that these hunters would do well to train ever harder to master the sundrop dance, such that they may defend themselves when you are not around to do so for them.

Muna Vanu has need of a strong, energetic paissa, but due to his responsibilities to the tribe, he has not the time to undertake the drawn-out task of capturing such wily prey himself. Furnishing you with a large sack in which to hold the beast, he bids you travel westward to where these creatures are most plentiful. They can be caught by digging a hole, which the careless creatures will fall into, finding themselves stuck.

You dig a hole, deep and wide enough to trap the sturdiest of paissas. Now you must wait for just such a beast to fall for this obvious—but apparently effective—ploy.

It's not long before a spry but oblivious paissa falls straight into the hole you dug. Put the creature into the sack the Vanu gave you before it escapes.

The paissa puts up little resistance as you extricate it from the hole and place it in the sack. Return your prize to Muna Vanu.

Muna Vanu explains that he has been challenged by a friend from the Zundu tribe to a paissafight. Though his tribe owes theirs a great debt, the elderly Vanu cannot bring dishonor on his people by losing the fight. Once properly trained, the spry and stalwart creature you captured should help secure his victory in the upcoming challenge.

Linu Vanu tells you the nestlings of Ok'; Zundu are anxiously claiming the advent of an airborne beast of Zundu myth. Curious of the tribe's myth and its palpability, he asks that you seek out one fo the Zundu nestlings and listen to what they have to say.

You speak with the unnerved Zundu nestling, who tells you he has spotted the legendary beast's feathers scattered northeast of Ok' Zundu, directly feeling the "bite" of impending darkness. He asks you to challenge the beast in a daring display of strength.

The fallen feathers that allegedly came from a mythical beast which attacked the nestlings of Ok' Zundu are not feathers at all, but metal claws from an encroaching Garlean legion. Mythical beast or not, the claws still pose a considerable danger. Speak with the cowering Zundu to find the location of the other "feathers".

Ginu Vanu explains that the construction materials available are not conducive to expedient work. Good, steel nails, like those used by the Rose Knights, would help him finish his work much more quickly. To acquire said nails, he plans to offer them meat from tsanahales in exchange. This meat is at its most delicious—and valuable—immediately after being butchered, so you will need to slay the beasts yourself. Ginu Vanu recommends using wamoura, found on an island to the south, as bait to draw them out.

After surveying a nearby island as Ginu Vanu suggested, you happen upon the remains of a recently deceased wamoura, saving you the trouble of slaying one yourself. Head further south to Provenance and use the wamoura meat to lure out two tsanahales.

No sooner do you arrive at Provenance than two tsanahales attack, lured by the scent of the wamoura meat. You make swift work of them to acquire all that you need to trade with the Rose Knights. Travel to Camp Cloudtop and see about making a trade for nails.

You present Fabrellet with the Gundu's trade proposition. Seeing the fresh tsanahale meat, he agrees without a second thought. Handing over enough nails to meet any needs Ginu Vanu might have, he assures you that Camp Cloudtop would be more than willing to trade again in future. Return to Ok' Gundu Nakki with your hard-earned nails.

Ginu Vanu is taken aback by the quantity of steel nails the Rose Knights offered in exchange for meat. Now able to employ proper fasteners in his woodworking, Ginu Vanu is sure that any hut he builds will be capable of weathering even the harshest conditions.

Eenu Vanu tells you that Vundu cloudfishers have been greedily snatching up all the plump fish, leaving very few to feed the villagers of [[Ok' Gundu Nakki]]. He asks you to ride on sanuwa-back to the fishing spot near [[Neverreap]] int he east and stop the cloudfishers from bleeding the Sea of Clouds dry. Approach Luna Vanu and ask him to lend you one of his cloudkin for the journey.

With Luna Vanu's generosity in lending one of the village sanuwas, you mount the cloudkin and set course for [[Ok' Vundu Vana]]. Travel to the Vundu tribe's fishing spot and pester the cloudfishers out of their catches using the sanuwa's blustery breath.

With the fish populations no longer in peril of being depleted, return to Ok' Gundu Nakki and report to Eenu Vanu.

Eenu Vanu explains that his Zundu friend took his advice to try the fishing spots near Neverreap, but ignored his warning about going to the perilous area alone. As his friend has not returned since last sunrise, Eenu Vanu wants you to check the are to confirm his friend's well-being.

Focusing entirely on the large fish biting at his line, the Zundu cloudfisher brushes off Eenu Vanu's concern and fails to notice a handful of starved paissas approach the cliff, lured by the scent of the fish basket. You slay the beasts before they have a chance to pounce on the preoccupied cloudfisher. Speak to him again to tell him how close he cam e to losing his day's work.

The Zundu cloudfisher is surprised by the attack and grateful to you for fending the paissas off, but he still wants to have one more go at the one that got away. Relay to Eenu Vanu that his cloudfisher friend will return to the village shortly.

You return to Ok' Gundu Nakki to explain what happened to Eenu Vanu, who seems relieved to know his friend is all right and well return soon,. as the fishing spot near Neverreap can be an unpredictable place, he vows to go with his friend next tome to make sure they have safety in numbers.

The Vanu Vanu are starting to molt, their oldest feathers falling away to make place for fresh new plumage. But the process leaves them looking disheveled and unkempt. This misfortune is easily ameliorated through simple use of a comb–an item the Gundu find themselves distinctly lacking right now. Fortunately, the Zundu are nearby, and are famed for the quality of their combs. Muna Vanu asks that you obtain some for his tribe, but notes that the Zundu will not part with their craftsmanship for free. He suggests you kill wamouracampae and gather their meat for trade. Start by collecting wet straw to draw these cautious creatures from their nests. it can be found some way south of Ok' Gundu Nakki.

You find the wet straw where Muna Vanu said it would be. Burn it as a wamoura nest, found near the [[Blue Window]], to draw your prey from its hiding place so that you may slay it and gather its meat.

You make short work of the wamouracampae and quickly butcher the flesh from their abdomens. Take your prize to Guna Vanu to trade for the combs the Gundu need.

When you show him the wamouracampa meat, Guna Vanu is more than happy to give you as many combs as you need in exchange for it. Deliver these combs back to Ok' Gundu Nakki before the tribe starts molting in earnest.

Muna Vanu thanks you profusely on behalf of the whole Gundu Tribe. Without proper combing, the feathers of the Vanu Vanu shed will remain hidden within their plumage for days, causing discomfort and itching, and making them look altogether much more scruffy than is respectable. As such, regular combing is apart of life for them–all the more so during molting season.

Luna Vanu has a hunger for chigoes. Unfortunately, these quick and cautious creatures are notoriously difficult to catch. However, he suggests a tried-and-true technique that can bag these bugs. A full-grown sanuwa is capable of creating a gust of wind that can blast a chigoe clean from its nest. A fast hunter, lying in wait, can snatch up the bug while it lies dazed by the attack. Three large, old trees at the Gauntlet are likely to have chigoe nests in them. Luna Vanu will wait beneath these trees while you, on sanuwa-back, blast your quarry from its place of hiding.

*Speak with Luna Vanu in Ok' Gundu Nakki to mount a sanuwa.

All goes according to plan. The sanuwa effortlessly throws the chigoe from its nest and within seconds Luna Vanu snaps up his prey. Spurred on by the fruitfulness of your efforts, Luna Vanu is eager to visit two more similar trees on the island and gather the bugs making nest within them.

You once again blast a chigoe from its nest into Luna Vanu's waiting arms. One tree remains to be harvested.

You catch yet another bug, fat and juicy, from the last of the trees suspected of housing chigoe nests. Satisfied with today's haul, Luna Vanu returns to the village. Return there yourself and let Muna Vanu know that your work is complete.

Muna Vanu thanks you for your work. He offers his apologies that his tribesmen ate each and every chigoe without offering you so much as a bite—it seems the bugs were so succulent that all who tasted them could not stop themselves.

Muna Vanu is not content to gamble his tribes' fate on waiting for rain, and so asks you to collect spring crystals from Voor Sian Siran to fulfill the need for water. However, since the knights of Camp Cloudtop now gather crystals there, he suggests you seek authorization from the nearby Ishgardians, lest a diplomatic incident result. Travel to Camp Cloudtop and convince Lady Laniaitte to let you harvest these crystals.

Laniaitte is more than happy for you to gather spring crystals for the Gundu. In fact, she finds it odd that they even feel they need permission. Collect three spring crystals from Voor Sian Siran, then return to Muna Vanu and let him know that the knights of Camp Cloudtop bear his people no ill will.

You collect three large, clean spring crystals. Deliver them to Manu Vanu.

With the crystals you gathered for them, the Gundu tribe will now have enough water to meet their needs. Though they wish to foster a mutually beneficial relationship with the knights of Camp Cloudtop, troubles with the Vundu have left them too busy to work towards this goal. But by speaking to the Ishgardians on their behalf, you may have paved the way to further advancements on this front.

Luna Vanu will be able to provide you with a beast suitable for this task.

You buffet the Vundu delinquents with blasts of air from your sanuwa. Faced with the proposition of continued humiliation, they quickly leave Ok' Gundu. Report back to Muna Vanu with news that the situation has been resolved without exacerbating the tense relationship between the Gundu and Vundu tribes.

Muna Vanu is glad to hear that you were able to dislodge the Vundu without having to resort to violence. Enough blood has already been spilt over the old Gundu village. There is no need for further slaughter.

Wood is hard to come by in the Sea of Clouds, but the knights of Camp Cloudtop have been happy to trade in the past. Knowing that the Vanu delicacies are prized by the troops manning the camp, Muna Vanu plans to prepare traditional Gundu castfoot chew to trade for the kindling. This required castfoot herb can be found near Ok' Zundu, he tells you, northeast of his tribe's camp.

You find three particularly striking specimens of catsfoot. Hurry them back to Muna Vanu while they are still fresh.

With the fragrant wildgrasses you gathered, Muna Vanu is able to add the finishing touches to his to his authentic Gundu cuisine. Now the task remains to take it to Caribault at Camp Cloudtop and trade it for firewood.

When you show Caribault the catsfoot chew, his eyes light up. His camp has more firewood than they can store, so he is more than happy to let you take all you can carry in exchange for the delicious Gundu treats. See it safely back to Muna Vanu.

Muna Vanu thanks you sincerely for obtaining firewood for his tribe. He explains that they have a long history of trading with so-called netherlings in the past, and Gundu snacks have always been a powerful bartering resource—he even considers repaying his tribe's growing debt to you in catsfoot chew..

Upon speaking with Linu Vanu, you learn that his recent attempts at soothsaying bear ill portent for the tribe. A gaelicat he released fell promptly from the sky, to be seen no more. Fearing that Ok' Gundu's ancestors look down upon the tribe with disdain, he bids you travel to the Gundu totem at the old Ok' Gundu village, and place an offering of weeping wildwort. Present this offering along with the sundrop dance to quell their fury. Weeping wildwort can be found growing wild in patches at the Cromlech.

You have obtained the weeping wildwort. Take these flowers to Ok' Gundu and place them before the Gundu totem.

The weeping wildwort flowers lie at the foot of the Gundu totem. Dedicate this offering to the ancestors by performing the sundrop dance.

The flowers have been accepted. The contract is sealed. Return to Linu Vanu.

Linu Vanu thanks you for your assistance in calming the rage of his ancestors. However, he does now recall that the gaelicat he released to obtain this omen smelled strongly of intoxicating cloudcrawler...

Get the quest, and talk to Lanu Vanu to ride the sanuwa. Go to the designated location in the northeast, and use the Buffet ability on the brute three times. Return to Linu Vanu to collect the reward.

Despite the Gundu's best efforts, they are still subject to intermittent Vundu harassment. At a loss as to how to deal with this himself, Muna Vanu asks that you speak with Linu Vanu, and find out how you can assist in the defense of his tribe and village.

After speaking with Linu Vanu, you learn that a rough and violent Vundu has been driving Gundu hunters from Gundu land. He asks you to help in letting this Vundu brute know firsthand the shame of being driven from his own land—by chasing him from his home with violent blasts of wind from a trained sanuwa. Speak with Luna Vanu. He will gladly supply you with a sanuwa to do just that.

Eager to help give the Vundu a taste of their own medicine, Luna Vanu provides you with what he claims is the strongest sanuwa in the village. Now find the Vundu brute and use the sanuwa to buffet him with wind.

*Speak with Luna Vanu in Ok' Gundu Nakki to mount a sanuwa.

You blast the Vundu brute with the full force of the sanuwa's attack, but he merely relocates, continuing his activities elsewhere. Seek him out again and buffet him once again with another flurry from the sanuwa.

The Vundu brute stands strong in the face of yet another onslaught from your sanuwa. After speaking a few words of defiance, he relocates yet again. Track him down once more and show him that you will not give up so easily.

You buffet the Vundu brute one last time. With no end in sight to these attacks, the bully loses heart and flees. Report back to Linu Vanu that this thug has now been put in his place.

Linu Vanu is pleased with your work and grateful that his tribe's hunters need no longer fear assault by this violent Vundu warrior. He does note, however, that these hunters would do well to train ever harder to master the sundrop dance, such that they may defend themselves when you are not around to do so for them.

The Vundu have discovered Ok' Gundu Nakki's existence, and are demanding that the Zundu surrender the refugees lest both tribes face total destruction. Sonu Vanu has called a meeting at Ok' Zundu to discuss this new threat. Follow the others to Ok' Zundu and speak with Sonu Vanu on your arrival.

Upon your arrival to Ok' Zundu the Vanu Vanu begin discussing the Vundu's demands. Sonu Vanu is willing to fight, but it seems his people are hesitant to join a battle they have little chance of winning. After some terse words and arguments, Linu Vali suggest that if the two tribes cannot win by virtue of numbers, then they should rob the Vundu of their will to fight with the sundrop dance. The plan is met with some agreement, but the Zundu's fighting spirit is not what it once was. They need a mighty warrior to show them the sundrop dance and rekindle the flames of fury in their heart. All present agree that you, as the one who defeated Bismark, should be the one to motivate the Zundu with the sundrop dance. Linu Vali will teach you the steps, but first you must perform the initiation ceremony. Meet Linu Valu at the entrance to Ok' Zundu to begin the ceremony.

You find Linu Vali standing in front of a massive stone sculpture wrought in the shape of a birdlike creature. She explains that the statue depicts the mother of all Vanu, and that in order to earn the right to the sundrop dance, you must dance atop two such statues, baring your soul to their judgement. Ascend the statue and put your most energetic /dance on display.

Through your dance, you lay bare your spirit to the mother of all Vanu. Return to Linu Vali to tell her of your stirring performance.

Your dance impresses Linu Vali, and she guides you to the second ancestral statue. Follow Linu Vali to Vundu Ok' Bendu.

You find Linu Vali standing in front of yet another enormous Vanu Vanu sculpture, this time depicting the father of all Vanu. Once again, /dance on the statue with all the passion you can muster.

The father of all Vanu has seen what your soul looks like. Return to Linu Vanu to see what the final steps of this ritual is.

Upon your arrival at Ok' Zundu, Linu Vali finally teaches you the sundrop dance. As you dance the steps, you can feel generations of Vanu ancestors give weight and power to your movements. After you master the dance, you perform it for the flagging Ok' Zundu citizens. They are so moved by your dance that they immediately agree to join the Gundu in their fight against the Vundu. Both tribes will practice their sundrop dance until the day of the decisive battle. When the time comes, be ready to lend the vigor of your dance as well.

Muna Vanu tells you that a forboding rumor has been floating on the winds from Ok' Zundu in the east. Speak to Linu Vanu to hear more about teh curious whisper.

Linu Vanu tells you the nestlings of Ok'; Zundu are anxiously claiming the advent of an airborne beast of Zundu myth. Curious of the tribe's myth and its palpability, he asks that you seek out one fo the Zundu nestlings and listen to what they have to say.

You speak with the unnerved Zundu nestling, who tells you he has spotted the legendary beast's feathers scattered northeast of Ok' Zundu, directly feeling the "bite" of impending darkness. He asks you to challenge the beast in a daring display of strength.

The fallen feathers that allegedly came from a mythical beast which attacked the nestlings of Ok' Zundu are not feathers at all, but metal claws from an encroaching Garlean legion. Mythical beast or not, the claws still pose a considerable danger. Speak with the cowering Zundu to find the location of the other "feathers".

The Zundu nestling is impressed by your combat with the Garlean metal claws, and guides you to the other location the magitek was sighted. Wait at the designated spot until the enemy compels you to display another courageous performance.

You have defeated the Garlean metal claws with a daring display of fearlessness. Speak with the Zundu nestling nearby.

The Zundu nestling is confident that the legendary beast is satisfied with your bold movements, runnig home to tell the other nestlings about the birth of a new legend. Return to Ok' Gundu Nakki to relay the outcome to Linu Vanu.

Linu Vanu has already heard whispers on the wind abou the outcome of the search for the legendary beast and how you narrolwy avoided the end of the world. He expresses gratitude for listening to the nestling, and stated that the Gundu tribe will also remain on the lookout for the claws.

After getting the quest, talk to [[Ginu Vanu]], then go to the designated location. Get the sliced wamoura and use it to lure out 2 [[tsanhale]]s. Kill them. Go to [[Camp Cloudtop]], and talk to [[Fabrellet]] to get the nails. Return to Ginu Vanu to collect the reward.

===Journal===
Muna Vanu is concerned with how long the construction of new Gundu huts is taking. He asks that you speak with the resident builder, Ginu Vanu, and see what can be done to help things along.

*Please note that the difficulty of this quest has be synched to your current level. Furthermore, you many not proceed with a class or job that is different from when you accepted the quest.

Ginu Vanu explains that the construction materials available are not conducive to expedient work. Good, steel nails, like those used by the Rose Knights, would help him finish his work much more quickly. To acquire said nails, he plans to offer them meat from tsanahales in exchange. This meat is at its most delicious—and valuable—immediately after being butchered, so you will need to slay the beasts yourself. Ginu Vanu recommends using wamoura, found on an island to the south, as bait to draw them out.

After surveying a nearby island as Ginu Vanu suggested, you happen upon the remains of a recently deceased wamoura, saving you the trouble of slaying one yourself. Head further south to Provenance and use the wamoura meat to lure out two tsanahales.

No sooner do you arrive at Provenance than two tsanahales attack, lured by the scent of the wamoura meat. You make swift work of them to acquire all that you need to trade with the Rose Knights. Travel to Camp Cloudtop and see about making a trade for nails.

You present Fabrellet with the Gundu's trade proposition. Seeing the fresh tsanahale meat, he agrees without a second thought. Handing over enough nails to meet any needs Ginu Vanu might have, he assures you that Camp Cloudtop would be more than willing to trade again in future. Return to Ok' Gundu Nakki with your hard-earned nails.

Ginu Vanu is taken aback by the quantity of steel nails the Rose Knights offered in exchange for meat. Now able to employ proper fasteners in his woodworking, Ginu Vanu is sure that any hut he builds will be capable of weathering even the harshest conditions.
