==Guide==
Players can enter the seasonal event instance [[The Pâtisserie]] solo or with up to 4 players, with an option to matchmake. This is done by speaking to a [[House Valentione Pâtissier]], located at Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre in [[Old Gridania]] or the Acorn Orchard in [[New Gridania]].

During the instance, players need to collect ingredients from the shelves at the edge of the room, and carry them to the cakes in the middle of the room, while avoiding the [[Mammet Pâtissier]]s that patrol the area. Should a player be spotted by a mammet, it will follow them and fire large conal ice AoEs. Being hit by a mammet's AoE will inflict {{status effect|deep freeze}} [[Deep Freeze]] for 10 seconds.

4 different types of cakes can be made, each of which requires a different combination of ingredients. The NPC Kupka Kupp will automatically update the duty progress with the needed ingredients, and the shelves with the correct ingredients will sparkle. Upon completing the 2nd cake onwards, the background music will change and the mammets will move faster. The 5th cake has no specific ingredient requirements, only needing 4 ingredients submitted per category.

Players have access to the duty action "Bake: Off", which will temporarily stun mammets in a cone in front of the user. This can hold up to 3 charges, with a charge recovering every 15 seconds. However, this action has an animation lock (which can leave the user vulnerable to a mammet's AoE), and it cannot be used while carrying an ingredient.

The duty has a time limit of 10 minutes from when Kupka Kupp calls out the first batch of ingredients. When this time limit runs out, the duty ends, even if some cakes are not yet finished. Players will then have an opportunity to give [[Player Commendation]]s to their party members.

==Rewards==
Players are awarded {{item icon|Valentione's Day Chocolate}}s based on how many cakes they finished (plus the progression of the next one), and these chocolates can be traded to a [[House Valentione Maid]] vendor for event items.

[[Allagan Tomestones]] are [[Endgame Gear Guide|endgame]] currencies and tokens that can be exchanged for various endgame gear. Players can obtain Allagan Tomestones by completing [[dungeons]], [[trials]], [[Duty Roulette]], and virtually every other endgame duty.

These tokens can be traded in [[Endgame Hub]]s and to the various [[Sundry Splendors|representatives of Rowena]] for powerful combat equipment after completing certain [[Main Scenario Quests|Main Scenario Quest]] requirements.

However, the whims of Rowena's market are fickle. Periodically, older tomestones will become obsolete and she will begin trading new equipment for new tomestones. (This happens at the start of an expansion and the subsequent even-numbered major patches, or roughly every 13 months or 9 months, respectively.)

Obsolete tomestones are tradeable to [[Auriana]] in [[Mor Dhona]] (X:22.7 Y:6.7) for current tomes at a reduced rate for a limited time (until the next tomestone rotation).

There are two caps on tomestones:

* The current most recently-introduced type of tomestone usually has a weekly limit of 450 earned per week

==Irregular Tomestones==
Beginning with the lead-up to [[Shadowbringers]], the game has hosted periodic [[Moogle Treasure Trove Events]], where certain duties pay a special type of irregular tomestone. These "tomestones" are normal items that go to your inventory, and are exclusively exchanged at one of three [[Itinerant Moogle]]s in the starting cities.

Most events feature one limited-time item: typically a lighthearted accessory, such as the {{item icon|Namazu Earring}}. The events also include a variety of rare, hard-to-get, or no-longer-attainable items, such as mounts from extreme trials or the {{item icon|Falcon (Mount)}} — or simply items that the developers wish to spotlight, such as contest-winning outfits and furniture. This makes these events useful as a catchup mechanism for collectors who may have missed the boat on older items.

Moogle Treasure Trove events always happen in the leadup to a patch. The names of each irregular tomestone follows the same order as the previous 'real' tomestones, with the exception of Poetics which was skipped entirely (presumably because Poetics is still an active tome).

*Though you have never met him, this [[Hearty Hunter|hearty hunter]] seems to know you quite well. So well, in fact, he considers you his rival. Perhaps that is why he chooses to share with you an unusual [[Clan Hunt]] bill he procured from their board. The strange scribblings describe a great [[wyvern]] by the name [[Rathalos]]. Though the bill makes no mention of its origins, the hearty hunter has discovered it was last seen somewhere at the [[Azim Steppe]]. He suggests you visit [[Reunion]] to learn more of your prey while he readies himself for the hunt.

*Try as you might, you fail to find anyone who can attest to the existence of this great wyvern. On the word of a [[Wayfaring Kha Hunter|wayfaring hunter]], however, you decide to consult the [[Qestir]], masters of the Reunion markets, in hopes of learning more of your prey.

*You speak with a [[Concerned Qestir|merchant of the Qestir tribe]], though his initial response is only an expression of grave concern. He then points southwest toward [[Yat Khaal]]. Perhaps there you will find some trace of the Rathalos.

*While waiting for signs of the wyvern, you are confronted by a curious talking cat claiming to be a fledgling [[Felyne]] hunter. He too has come in search of the Rathalos, and no sooner does he speak its name than a colossal, crimson-scaled wyvern swoops down from the sky to claim a [[dzo]] for its next meal. At last, the hunt begins. The Felyne hunter wastes no time chasing after the Rathalos, heading northwest toward [[Bardam's Mettle]].

*You arrive at Bardam's Mettle to find the Felyne hunter is ready, not to fight, but support. Preferably from the safety of the entrance. That said, he does offer you several potions to ensure you are duly prepared. The battle before you will likely be fierce, and to that end the Felyne hunter suggests you seek reinforcements before jumping into the fray.

*The Rathalos was truly a beast worthy of its title, but not even the king of the skies was a match for you and your comrades. The Felyne hunter is certain to be glad to hear of your success.

*The Felyne hunter is in awe of your strength. Wishing to bear witness to your future feats of heroism and derring-do, he asks to join you as an adventuring companion. It was quite fortunate that you happened to glimpse his mark bill. He is surprised, however, to hear you saw it not on the Clan Hunt board, but from a hunter in [[Kugane]]. He asks if you might introduce him to the man who ultimately guided you to aid him.

*You arrive in Kugane to find your supposed rival has just finished warming up and is ready to hunt. A pity you have already claimed his prize. You expect him to be disappointed, perhaps even cross with you, but instead he is pleased to see you proved yourself worthy of being his adversary. His [[Smithy|smithy]] companion is more concerned with what, if anything, you recovered from the Rathalos. Hearing you carved a [[Rathalos Scale|scale]] from its hide, he jumps at the opportunity to use it in his work, offering to fashion you armor if you can procure more. If you should take him up on his offer, the hunt for Rathalos has only begun.
