The Keeper of the Lake

The Keeper of the Lake is a level 50 [[dungeon]] released in patch 2.5. It requires a party of 4 with an average item level of 90 and higher.

==Bosses==
===Einhander===
The flying enemies will drop big and small canisters to the boss-area. Any partymember can hit the small canisters away from the boss and the rest of the party. The big canisters will stay still. The boss does AoE-breaths that ignite the canisters it hits and those canisters will explode after burning for a while. Small canisters do damage to nearby targets, but big canisters deal moderate damage to the whole party. Usually party can deal with 1 big canister exploding, but two can be fatal so you may want to have Einhander use his abilities to trigger the affect of each medium cannister as it spawns and allow your healer to heal through the damage (DPS might be able to destroy the big canisters before they explode, not sure). Medium cannister explosions will chain into each other, so if your room has more than one medium cannister up as one is trigger, expect a wipe.

Occassionally, Einhander will suck all of the cannisters in the room towards him, the tank should either reposition Einhander away from the cannisters or the DPS should quickly knock them away again.

The boss switches between two (?) forms and will disappear briefly while switching between each form. There is an obvious tell each time as Einhander will hold a different weapon in his talons. When holding the rod, Einhander gains a new cone attack which will knock anyone affected across the room. When holding a mini-gun, Einhander gains a new line AoE. DPS and Healers should be aware if they are in the same line of sight as a medium cannister, as this ability will trigger them to explode.

===Magitek Gunship===
The boss will summon adds two times. First time he summons 4 cohorts and second time he summons a big robot. All of the adds should be killed. The Gunship has a Flamethrower attack that comes out in a cone infront of him and remains active for a few seconds, so tanks should be mindful not to move back into it too early. Sometimes the boss will target a random party member and fly to the edge of the arena. After a while, he will charge towards the party member, dropping fiery circular AoE's on the ground. Party member who is targeted should stay near the edge of the arena, so that the AoE doesn't cover the middle of the fight. As the fight continues, the boss will charge two party members in a row.

===Midgardsormr===
The boss itself is the big dragon head that does not need to be tanked. He does a couple of different AoE attacks. He will revive one of the two dragons at the time. Party should focus on killing these dragons. These dragons also have their own AoE attacks as well as breath attacks that will cleave so DPS should be mindful not to stand in front of the dragons. The first dragon that spawns has to be tanked far away from Midgardsomr, while the second dragon has to be tanked close to Midgardsomr. After the first dragon is revived, Midgardsormr will begin using a new AoE attack that alternates between approximately half of the room closest to Midgarsormr and later the further half. Tanks should try to position the dragons on either the east or west point of the room to make dodging these attacks easier. At some point an add will spawn who carries a shield-generator, this add will look similar to the dragons which drop the cannisters in the Einhander fight. DPS should focus these instantly, since the dragon-head will charge up a insta-kill AoE if the shield-generator is not used. The Shield generator needs to be interacted with in order for the shield to become available and all members of the party must be inside the bubble to avoid being instantly killed. Repeat with the second dragon and second shield-generator. In this second phase however, Midgarsormr gains a new AoE ability which begins as a small circle which will expand outward two times, taking up a large portion of the room. Each time a dragon is killed, Midgarsormr will lose around 45% of his health. After both dragons are killed, quickly DPS any of his remaining health.

===Frumious Koheel Ja===
Burn boss and kill spears ASAP. Frumious Koheel Ja throws burning spears at the ground which cast a stacking debuff to the whole party if they are left alive.
===Slithy Zolool Ja===
A shaman boss, who summons totems. If after a while no-one has claimed the totems, he will recall all of them and gain the buffs himself. Some of the totems grant buffs while some should be ignored. He will randomly hex a target and turns them into a toad for 12 seconds. He will also randomly cast Fire to the party members and while the damage is not too big, the totems can increase the damage.

Standing in a totem gives you a buff or debuff. Clean as many of the flags as possible and don't stack fire resist down.

There will be Purple, Red, Blue and Green Totems. The effects of the various colors are random. One will give you attack up (DPS should pick it up), another will give you the toad debuff or cleanse the toad debuff (only pick it up if you are a toad), another will give you fire resist down and final one will give the player [[Heavy]] debuff.

*Because the Totem effects are random, use the first couple Totems to figure out which color has which effect. Do not allow any one player to have too many stacks of the fire debuff or the player will die when the boss casts a random fire spell on them.

===Manxome Molaa Ja Ja===
Stay very close to him to avoid a huge cone AoE. Move away for rotting gas. Person with rotting lung has to stay away from the party when Rotting Gas pops. The person with the lungs will also AoE around them.

The boss drops multiple banners on the ground during the fight. The banners' buff the boss' damage and armor, so the tank should just pull the boss away from the banner-range. Tank needs to keep moving the boss so the party doesn't have to fight in the banner AoE.

*Do not allow the boss to stand in purple circle of Sacred Standard, by kiting him around the outer edge of the boss room.

He will cast debuffs that makes healing worse and Doom random party members. Healers can remove doom if the target is healed to full hp. Doom can be negated by turning around as he casts the spell. Don't face the boss and it doesn't take effect.

When Scared Idol spawns (the Idol with a tether to the boss), kill it ASAP!

===Decaying Gourmand===
The Decaying Gourmand will inflict a random player with Prey. The person targeted with prey will get sucked in and eaten by the Decaying Gourmand. When they do, attack the Voracious Maw to break out the person eaten. Decaying Gourmand will also drop AoE circles on the ground that remain there, inflicting damage over time to whoever stays in it.

===Arioch===
At first there will be a single Ranch Wamura add with the actual boss, Arioch, flying around. Kill it and have the tank stand in front of it when it dies. Anyone that stands in front of the Ranch Wamura when it dies will get a stacking debuff vulnerability down called Scale Flakes. The boss attacks whoever has the highest stacks of Scale Flakes, so make sure the tank is the one that gets the debuff. When the Scale Flakes debuff is running out, pull another Ranch Wamura add and kill it facing the tank. If the debuff runs out Arioch will start flying overhead, regenerating massive amounts of hp.

===Diabolos===
There are 8 doors divided into pairs of 2 in the boss room. The strategy is to have each member of your team responsible for one symbol, the blue goobbue, red demon, the light green dragon-like, and the dark green moth. Each symbol will appear above 2 doors. Make a progression of who will open their doors first, this is important for later. When you open both doors you get sucked into a void and you become immune to attacks, When Diabolos casts Ruinous Omen, you need to use the doors or the party will wipe. At the beginning of the fight have one of your party members open his first door, and leave it open, when you get to about 60% of Diabolos health, he will go to the center of the arena and start to cast Ruinous Omen, once it gets about halfway through the cast bar have the party member open his matching door. If timed right you will get into the void as soon as he casts Ruinous Omen and you won't take any damage. If your damage is halfway decent you should only see Ruinous Omen twice, so two of your party members will have to do it. Remember, you need to look around and memorize the positions of the 2 matching doors you're responsible for.

Avoid the orbs when they appear, they apply heavy and deal more damage as the debuff gets stacked on the party.

Note: have your healer take the job of opening the doors instead of the tank and dps. Open the first door when you can and stand near the matching door if needed. If done right, the group wouldn't be taking enough damage for the healer to be doing much healing.

Note: When given the buff that makes you immune to attacks, aggro may change if you have a summoner or scholar with a pet out. Diabolos may switch to the pet and they do not get the immunity buff, so summoners could use Titan at that point.

===Decaying Gourmand===
When you have the link, run away to not let the Goobbue's stomach absorb you. If you are eaten, your party members need to damage the stomach til you're released or you would die.

===Arioch===
At first there will be a single Ranch Wamura add with the actual boss, Arioch, flying around. Kill it and have the tank stand in front of it when it dies. Anyone that stands in front of the Ranch Wamura when it dies will get a stacking debuff vulnerability down called Scale Flakes. The boss attacks whoever has the highest stacks of Scale Flakes, so make sure the tank is the one that gets the debuff. When the Scale Flakes debuff is running out, pull another Ranch Wamura add and kill it facing the tank. If the debuff runs out Arioch will start flying overhead, regenerating massive amounts of hp.

===Diabolos===
There are 8 doors divided into pairs of 2 in the boss room. The strategy is to have each member of your team responsible for one symbol, the blue goobbue, red demon, the light green dragon-like, and the dark green moth. Each symbol will appear above 2 doors. Make a progression of who will open their doors first, this is important for later. When you open both doors you get sucked into a void and you become immune to attacks, When Diabolos casts Ruinous Omen, you need to use the doors or the party will wipe. At the beginning of the fight have one of your party members open his first door, and leave it open, when you get to about 60% of Diabolos health, he will go to the center of the arena and start to cast Ruinous Omen, once it gets about halfway through the cast bar have the party member open his matching door. If timed right you will get into the void as soon as he casts Ruinous Omen and you won't take any damage. If your damage is halfway decent you should only see Ruinous Omen twice, so two of your party members will have to do it. Remember, you need to look around and memorize the positions of the 2 matching doors you're responsible for.

Avoid the orbs when they appear, they apply heavy and deal more damage as the debuff gets stacked on the party.

Note: have your healer take the job of opening the doors instead of the tank and dps. Open the first door when you can and stand near the matching door if needed. If done right, the group wouldn't be taking enough damage for the healer to be doing much healing.

Note: When given the buff that makes you immune to attacks, aggro may change if you have a summoner or scholar with a pet out. Diabolos may switch to the pet and they do not get the immunity buff, so summoners could use Titan at that point.

===Sasquatch===
Kill adds then the boss. Every now and then Sasquatch will get hungry and repeatedly pound his chest. When this occurs, players should activate one of the banana trees and allow the boss to eat the banana dropped from the tree. The bananas calm him down, stopping his debuffs and AoE attacks for a while. Throughout the fight, monkey adds will spawn. Kill these adds and do not let them eat the bananas.

*When the boss pounds his chest, activate the Bananas Tree and spawn banana. Do not let the adds go near the spawned bananas.
===Sjoorm===
This is a fairly straight forward fight. Occasionally bubbles will spawn, do not run into or contact the bubbles until the boss submerges underground for the second time and starts to cast a blue AoE wave that covers the entire boss room. By running into the bubbles, the players will be shielded from the boss' AoE damage. Players outside of the bubbles will take massive amount of damage.

*Use the bubbles to avoid the boss' room-wide AoE. Otherwise do not touch the bubbles.
===Kraken===
In the Kraken fight, players will kill 10 of its arms, two per platform. The boss room is divided into various platforms. Players need to use the water sprouts around the platforms to move to among them. Every now and then players will get a green pulsating icon over their heads. This indicates that a tornado is about to spawn on top of you. The player with the green icon should move to another platform immediately, then move back to the previous platform when the tornado drops, because the tornadoes act as time bombs. They will do enormous amounts of damage after a short time. Note that every time you jump you get a stacking debuff that increases the damage you will take.

*When a green icon appears over a players head, said player need to jump to a different platform, wait for the tornado to drop, then jump back.

Battle in the Big Keep is a level 50 [[trial]] that pits the players against [[Gilgamesh]] (Hard). It is part of the The [[Her Last Vow]] [[quest]] of the patch 2.5 [[Hildibrand]] questline. The battle requires a full party of 8 players with average item level of at least 90.

===Phase 1: Gilgamesh and Enkidu===
Don't bother hitting Gilgamesh, as Enkidu will heal him.

Gilgamesh will occasionally jump into the middle of the arena and perform an AoE knockback. Shields ([[stoneskin]], [[succor]]) block the effect if they reduce the damage to 0. [[SMN]] & [[SCH]] should take care to re-place their pets if they get knocked to the edge of the arena.

Enkidu's cone telegraph inflicts a -30% damage/heals debuff if it hits.

[Unknown ability] inflicts slow+heavy on x players. These should be cleansed. Healers first. I found it affected two players most times and occasionally affected three.

Two pairs of players will get a link between them. Running towards the linked player cancels it. This is what causes minimum until cancelled.

If you get a target/crosshair marker, run away from other players so Enkidu's missile hits only you. It deals 3.5K+ damage.

3-4 players will get turned into chickens periodically. They can't use abilities and have reduced HP while chicken'd.

Whirlwinds will appear periodically, and explode for extreme (4K+) raid-wide AoE damage after a while. To prevent this, a chicken must jump into the whirlwind. A non-chicken can also do this in a pinch but they'll take ~4K damage.
===Phase 2: Gilgamesh===
When Gilgamesh says he feels like dancing, he'll hit the tank with a series of powerful strikes (E: actually a cleave attack). These should be shielded & healed through. The tank can also move out of the way of the attack to avoid the attack completely.

Gilgamesh will chain a single player. This player cannot be targeted (ie. healed) and suffers a DoT. All DPS must destroy the chain ASAP. E: The closer the chained player is to Gilgamesh, the less damage the chain takes.

Gilgamesh summons four dragon heads around the edges of the arena. These deal telegraphed AoE damage like Ultima's magitek bits, and should be killed.
Gilgamesh will jump to a random(?) player then charge back to the tank, damaging anyone he collides with.

Gilgamesh causes telegraphed AoE ice damage in a chess-board pattern. Stand in the darker ie. non-telegraph squares to avoid the damage. He follows this with the same ability but the safe areas switch so you have to dodge again.

Gilgamesh summons Lighting orbs near the center of the arena that deal AoE damage after a short delay. Move to the outer area of the arena to avoid it. He then summons them around the edge, so run back to the center.

Gilgamesh jumps to the middle of the arena and causes telegraphed AoE damage all over the arena with narrow safe areas.

The dragon heads will fly up to the ceiling, and return to strike individual players for heavy damage. I don't know if this can be avoided eg. by killing the heads faster. It happened, lots of people were at ~1.5K health, me and the other SCH went physick-crazy.

So it was that Gilgamesh turned to the heavens, pleading to be reunited with a long-lost companion. Be it by fortune or fate, his prayers were heard, and the stage for the final confrontation is set.
