==General Information==
Miner is a [[gathering]] or Disciples of the Land [[classes|class]] that extracts minerals from the ground in [[Eorzea]]. The raw ores and gemstones they acquire are utilized by the [[Blacksmith]] and [[Goldsmith]] [[crafting]] classes.

The [[Guilds|Miner's Guild]] is located in [[Ul'dah]].

To become a miner, talk to the miner's guild receptionist when you're level 10 or higher on another [[classes|class]].

There are two types of gathering nodes that miners can interact with: Mineral Deposits (yellow icon on the minimap) via mining and Rocky Outcrops (blue icon on the minimap, require a secondary miner tool equipped, first available at level 11) via quarrying.

Unlike the previous encounter in [[The Aery]], this fight has four phases that combine healer checks, DPS checks, and raid mechanics (such as stacking to share damage). Positioning of all players is crucial to your success in this fight, as several lethal AoE zones will be cast in quick succession that you may not be able to avoid with poor positioning.

Those without experience in [[Alexander]] or [[Containment Bay S1T7]] will need to pay especially close attention to positioning cues that may be unfamiliar during the final phase. This encounter can be especially tricky for those whom have only done [[Main Scenario Quests]], as coordination and positioning are critical, especially during the second and final phases.

Everyone should stack, including the main tank if possible. Even doing so, this will deal heavy damage that SHOULD be healed and shielded through. Should players not stack, subsequent bolts will target random players for lethal damage, which will most likely cause a wipe. Once this attack is complete, main tank should face Nidhogg away again to avoid cleaving the party.
* 3 Fireballs will spawn on the ground occasionally. These are bombs that will each explode in a plus shape, very similar to mechanics seen in [[Alexander (Savage)]]. Stand in a row and column unoccupied by these bombs to avoid the damage, and be prepared to immediately sprint back to the center for another cast of "Hot Wings".
* Run out of "Hot Wings" AoE. It is a room-wide AoE with a safe line along the length of Nidhoggs body. This is immediately followed by "Hot Tail", below.
* Run out of "Hot Tail" AoE. It will appear straight after Hot Wings and cover the area that was safe during Hot Wings.
* Run out of the holes that spawn under random players.
* Run out of Nidhogg's fire trail. The holes will spawn first, then Nidhogg will disappear and repeat the fire trail mechanic from phase one. Position yourself accordingly.
* As this is the final phase, these mechanics will repeat until the boss is dead.

*Lucia is not one to rest on her laurels.

*As you and the others debate how best to proceed, Ser Aymeric enters the room in the company of lords Edmont and Artoirel to the delight and relief of all present. Alas, the resulting mood of optimism is soon soured by the arrival of a panicked knight bearing grave tidings: a rebel faction calling themselves the True Brothers of the Faith have seized control of the Vault, and taken the refugees sheltering within hostage. Needless to say, the lord commander cannot bow to the demands of such zealots, leaving him with but one option: an armed assault. Without hesitation, you and your fellow Scions volunteer to help, prompting Lord Artoirel to pledge his support as well.

*Though you succeed in sneaking into the basilica undetected, the rebels soon catch wind of your presence, and attempt to execute the hostages. Fortunately, they are no match for you and your allies, and together you are able to rescue all but one of their captives─a young girl name Maelie, whom you learn was borne off to the upper levels by a priest. You, Ser Aymeric, and Lord Artoirel have no choice but to give chase.

*You finally corner the priest on the uppermost level of the Vault, and Ser Aymeric demands his immediate surrender. Alas, the man will not hear reason, being convinced beyond all doubt that Ser Aymeric is a traitor to both kin and country. In a final act of defiance, he throws Maelie from the ledge, sending the child tumbling towards the plaza.

*Far below, Lucia and Y'shtola can only watch in horror as the screaming figure plummets towards them. But just when all hope seems lost, a great white dragon swoops down to pluck her from the very jaws of death. Vidofnir!

*Soon after, you, Ser Aymeric, and Lord Artoirel join the others outside, where Vidofnir is waiting to deliver a warning from Hraesvelgr. It would seem Nidhogg and his brood have flown for skies unknown. When Alphinaud subsequently presses the dragon for answers regarding Estinien, she declares that she can provide none, and bids you farewell. Though her visit was all too brief, Ser Aymeric hopes that it will do much to change the opinions of the common man. Yet Lord Edmont, who does not share in his optimism, implores the young knight to move with greater caution, lest more perish in his headlong rush for change─not least Ser Aymeric himself, whom the count plainly cherishes as a son.

*In the wake of Vidofnir's departure, Y'shtola speaks to you privately regarding Thancred, in whom she senses a troubling change. According to her, his aetheric flow has been disrupted in a manner which would theoretically prevent him from wielding all magicks, teleportation included. Though she stresses that this is as yet mere speculation, it would do much to explain why he did not risk seeking out the Scions upon learning that a primal had been summoned. In the absence of proof, however, you have no choice but to remain silent and attend Alphinaud in Fortemps Manor.

*As you discuss recent events with Alphinaud and Tataru, lords Artoirel and Emmanellain enter, having come to present you all a token of their gratitude: a House Fortemps shield fit for a true knight. It soon becomes clear, however, that this was not Artoirel's only reason for seeking an audience when he reveals that Count Edmont means to step aside, leaving him to take his father's place as the head of House Fortemps. In this way, Count Edmont intends to rid the house of the lingering suspicion that it was complicit in a coup d'etat orchestrated by Ser Aymeric. Yet while Lord Artoirel had long dreamed of this day, it would seem that the recent revelations regarding the founding fathers of Ishgard had prompted him question the value of his birthright─until, that is, he recalled his late brother's words: “A knight lives to serve─to aid those in need.” And so he vows to follow Haurchefant's proud example and labor for the greater good of Ishgard. And should his resolve waver, he hopes that you will show him the way─as a brother.

Though the dragon's subsequent response is disappointingly noncommittal, you sense that, in her heart of hearts, she harbors the same hope.

*While it remains to be seen if your diplomatic efforts will bear fruit, your companions agree that the meeting went as well as could be expected, given the circumstances. Your business in Anyx Trine thus concluded, you bid farewell to Lucia so that you may continue west to Sharlayan and join Y'shtola in welcoming the visiting scholar.

==Strategy==
The Singularity Reactor is a fairly straightforward end-of-story trial. In general, dodge AoEs, kill adds when they do happen. It has three phases, although the most eventful are the first two.

Similar to Ramuh's Thunderstorm, four players at a time will be marked for a small lightning circle that will hit after them and everyone around them a few seconds. Simultaneously, Thordan will put aoe circles below other four players. These will turn into icy patches on the ground that will put heavy on everyone going through them. Move away from other members of the party to avoid stacking aoes and leaving room for movement.

He also casts '''Ancient Quaga''' throughout the fight, hitting for moderate party damage. Heal/shield through it as necessary.

After channeling The Dragon Eye, he will be able to use '''The Dragon's Gaze''', which inflicts a party-wide terror. As with any other gaze attack, turn your character away from him to avoid it completely.

He will cast '''Knights of the Round''' periodically as well, summoning different Knights of the Heavens' Ward who cannot be targeted to provide diferent mechanics to keep in mind. The first two will be '''Ser Janlenoux''' and '''Ser Adelphel''', who will charge around the room, putting a bleeding debuff on everyone on their path and leaving behind orbs of light. These will deal damage to players upon exploding. Note this debuff can be dispelled. Next will be '''Ser Vellguine''' who will stand outside of the platform and cast a column aoe that goes from one side to the other and can be easily avoided. '''Ser Hermenost''' will pop out next to Thordan with three small platforms that need to be stood upon. A single player for each one of them will suffice. Fail to do so and the entire party will be affected with paralyze. While the duration is not too long and this is not game-changing, your healers will thank you.

At around 15% to 10%, phase two will start. Thordan will leave the arena, letting his Knights have the spotlight.

'''Ser Zephirin''': He appears in the middle and immediately starts casting an aoe attack. This cannot be interrupted; however, the less health he has at the end of the cast, the weaker it hits the party.

'''Ser Vellguine''': Without waiting for Zephirin to be dealt with, Vellguine will appear somewhere at the edge of the arena. Again, he will perform a column charge through the middle. He cannot be targeted.

One of them will cast Holiest of Holy at random intervals, which will deal moderate damage to every player in the room. Something else to look out for is Rapid Sever, which will hit the tank for quite a bit of damage in a short span of time.

'''Ser Ignasse''': He will show up shortly after the previous two, smashing the ground on a point at the edge of the arena. Damage taken is reduced the farther away you are from it, like the imperial airship crashes in the Ultima Weapon. He won't be seen again after this.

'''Ser Paulecrain & Ser Haumeric''': These cannot be targeted. One of them will be in the middle, placing blue ice markers on players' heads, akin to those in the Shiva encounter. Try to drop them on the edges if possible, as they put heavy on players in contact with the frozen ground they create. The other Knight, who stands on the edge of the arena, has a column attack that is targeted to a player, who will take less damage the closer they are to the source, like Anchag's in Amdapor Keep (Hard) or Biblos' in the Great Gubal Library.

'''Ser Grinnaux''': Also can't be targeted. He will cast four or five black aoe circles in the ground that will grow in size over time. In addition to the previous frozen circles, finding a safe spot can be difficult.

'''Ser Noudenet''': Again cannot be targeted. This one resembles Xande's meteorfall mecanic in Syrcus Tower; he will summon comet circles that will drop comets/meteors after a short while. There are four comet circles on the sides, and a meteor circle in the middle. Burn them before they drop their gifts.

Afterwards, his energy seems to be spent so he will only slash at random targets. Don't bother trying to get aggro at this point.

At the airship landing, Midgardsormr addresses Aymeric, and the two speak candidly of the future, their meeting marking the start of the journey towards peace between man and dragon.

Some days later, the Holy See makes its long-awaited return to the Eorzean Alliance in an uplifting ceremony attended by the leaders of all four city-states. *Alphinaud has a mind to start searching the Blue Window.

*Alphinaud declares that you two should begin searching the isles in earnest for the Soleil. Follow him east and stand /lookout for the missing airship.

*Though your vantage point affords an excellent view of the surrounding isles, you see nothing resembling the archbishop's airship. Proceed north and stand /lookout once more.

*In the course of your search, you come upon a most unexpected sight: a unit of imperial troops surrounding a terrified Vanu Vanu. Before you can assess the situation, the troops mistake you for Ishgardians and attempt to seize you as well, apparently under the orders of “Lord van Hydrus.” With Alphinaud's help, you manage to defeat the Garleans, thus rescuing the Vanu prisoner.

*Lonu Vanu, as he names himself, expresses his profound gratitude for your intervention. Though the presence of the imperials is an unfortunate development, the discovery that the Vanu here are not openly hostile to you and Alphinaud makes up for it.

*Cid's preparations have proceeded smoothly, and the required chains and ballistae have already been delivered to the Sea of Clouds. You need but notify Wedge when you have assembled your party of brave companions, and you will be ferried to the island provided by the Zundu.

*You inform Wedge that you are ready to hunt the white whale. Board the Enterprise with your companions and rid the Sea of Clouds of Bismarck's ravenous presence.

*Prize in hand, you turn towards the Enterprise, only to find Igeyorhm and Archbishop Thordan barring your path. After wresting the key from your grasp, the Ascian observes that you have regained the blessing of Light─albeit at a fraction of its former strength. Retrieving the key, the archbishop casts it heavensward, and the Allagan relic emits a beam of light pointing the way to Azys Lla. The pair then depart aboard the Soleil as you, still weak from your struggles against Bismarck and Igeyhorm, can only watch, powerless to stop them.

*After you disembark from the Enterprise, thoroughly downcast, Alphinaud assures you that all is not lost. Though the archbishop has claimed the key to Azys Lla, you yet live to give chase.
