__TOC__
Summary
Combat
*Because level 100 gear will be released over the course of several major patches, players do not necessarily need to slowly increment the item level of their gear if they have recently reached level 100, and can instead jump directly to the highest item level gear that is most accessible.
*[IL 690] Players who recently reached level 99 - 100 should collect Artifact Weapons and Artifact Armor for free. Epochal Accessories drop from three dungeons: dungeon, dungeon, and dungeon, but these do not need to be "farmed" to proceed with further upgrades.
*[IL 700] Current uncapped tomestone gear (Aesthetics Allagan Tomestone of Aesthetics): Neo Kingdom Weapons, Neo Kingdom Armor, and Neo Kingdom Accessories
*[IL 710] Current extreme trial weapons (trial): Skyruin Weapons
*[IL 710] Current extreme trial accessories (trial): Resilient Accessories

*Current "best-in-slot" (BiS) gear comprises a mixture of Skyruin Weapons, Neo Kingdom Armor, and Resilient Accessories melded with certain materia to maximize desirable sub-stats.

Future
*In patch 7.01, the first normal raid tier of raid will drop weekly-capped items that can be exchanged for IL 710 armor and accessories.
*Higher item level gear (IL 730-735) will not be released until patch 7.05, which will include gear purchased with weekly-capped heliometry Allagan Tomestone of Heliometry and dropped from the first tier of raid. New crafted gear from level 100 master recipe books will also be released on that patch. They will have the same item level (710) as current extreme and normal raid gear but will have different sub-stats and can be pentamelded, generally making it superior for early savage progression.

Crafting and Gathering
As of patch 7.0, the crafted level 100 gear, with specific melds as recommended by The Balance for crafting and gathering, is substantially better than the level 100 gear available for orange scrips, which suffers from bad stats, being job-specific, and lacking accessories.
**This composition varies depending on the job and is intended to maximize desirable substats. Some jobs may have multiple BiS sets with specific Spell Speed or Skill Speed tiers.
**BiS sets for each job are provided by The Balance.
**BiS is not necessary to obtain unless if the player is planning on doing the upcoming cdungeon or the 6.55 Savage criterion dungeon. BiS primarily allows players to more easily clear existing content.
**The level 90 ultimate raids, ultimateraid and ultimateraid have specific BiS sets for each job that matches their item level sync (605 and 635, respectively). See the above link to the Balance.
*Higher item level gear will not be released until Patch 7.0.

Crafting and Gathering
*Players who recently reached level 90 can buy HQ high quality Indagator's Tools and Indagator's Gear (item level 620) from the Market Board and meld with materia. This will be the best Crafter and Gatherer gear until patch 7.0.
**Melding guides and crafting rotations are provided by Teamcraft Guides.
*Alternatively, they can farm purple crafterpurple gatherer Purple Scrips (achievable using Lv 80 gear) to buy Afflatus Tools and Afflatus Gear. Using some HQ HQ materials, basic melds, HQ Calamari Ripieni and HQ Commanding Craftsman's Draught, this gear can be used to craft HQ high quality Indagator's equipment. This bypasses needing to first invest in melded Pactmaker's Tools and Gear.
**Note that Afflatus gear, like other Scrip gear, is inferior to HQ high quality Indagator's gear due to being unable to perform Advanced Materia Melding.

*Use the Duty Finder to enter Saint Mocianne's Arboretum.

*Speak with Sawney at Saint Mocianne's Arboretum.

*Speak with Sawney in Idyllshire.

Journal
*You come across a terrified and bedraggled treasure hunter who explains that she has just escaped certain death at the claws of the seedkin hordes infesting Saint Mocianne's Arboretum. Within the ruins lies a treasure apparently worth risking life and limb over, and she asks that you aid her companions in obtaining it. Speak with the treasure hunter named Sawney in front of the Arboretum to join the search.

*Sawney claims that the treasure he and his fellows seek within the Arboretum could benefit the residents of Idyllshire for years to come. Unfortunately, they lack the strength to fend off the beasts prowling the ruins where their prize presently rests. Eager to secure your aid in eliminating the creatures, Sawney offers to let you keep anything you find along the way. Venture into Saint Mocianne's Arboretum and clear a path for the treasure hunters so that they may search the ruins unimpeded.

*You have fought your way through an army of Eorzea's flora and fauna, letting Sawney and his team search the Arboretum at their leisure. Return to the Dravanian hinterlands to see if their efforts bore any fruit.

*You find Sawney waiting for you outside the Arboretum. He happily exclaims that thanks to your efforts his fellows were able to find the object they sought without further incident. He then asks that you return with him to Idyllshire and report your success to Midnight Dew. Perhaps you will finally find out what the treasure hunters were so eager to obtain from the overgrown ruins.

*Sawney regales Midnight Dew with the tale of your brave foray into the Arboretum, and at last reveals the “treasure” he sought to be the seeds of specially cultivated crops. Midnight Dew hopes to use them to start a new industry in Idyllshire, and thereby free the settlement of its reliance on an ever-diminishing supply of Sharlayan junk. Even as Sawney departs to plant his treasure, you are cordially invited to visit Idyllshire in the near future to sample the bountiful harvest that the seeds will inevitably produce.

<!--

PLEASE READ BEFORE EDITING OR USING THIS AS A TEMPLATE TO MAKE ANOTHER PATCH PAGE:

- Create patch pages for major base patches only, that is, for patch 6.2, but not for subpatches like 6.21, 6.25, or 6.28. Subpatch specific notes should be included on the main patch page (Subpatch-specific sections may be added if desired), not as their own separate page.

- Write the main story summary section at the bottom of the page, so players who have not reached that point and do not wish to see spoilers can stop reading when they reach that section.

- If the story summary (Particularly in an x.0 patch) needs to be broken up into chapters/subsections, the subsection titles should be level ranges or other non-spoiler descriptions, so spoilers won't appear in the table of contents.

- In trailers and other promotional materials, the "canonical" Warrior of Light is depicted as a Midlander Hyur male. Therefore the Warrior of Light should be referred to using the pronouns he/him in the Main Story Summary section.

- For x.0 patches (That is, the patch that starts a new expansion), keep the article about new features introduced specifically with the x.0 patch itself, or any of its subpatches. Features that are added later in the expansion should not be included. Use the page for the patch in which the feature was introduced, or the expansion page itself for that. For example, the Ishgardian Restoration was announced as a Shadowbringers feature, but was introduced in patch 5.1 and should not be mentioned on the patch 5.0 page.

- DO NOT simply copy and paste patch notes, story summaries, or other content directly from Square-Enix's official website. Please write your own summaries.

Loporrit Daily Quests are crafting-oriented Daily Quests announced for release in Patch 6.35 of Endwalker. They are located in ??? at ??? (X:??? Y:???).
__TOC__
Unlock
To unlock Loporrit Daily Quests, players must first complete the tribal quest feature.

feature can be unlocked by completing feature and the level 90 MSQ main.

Quest Sync
The Loporrit tribe main quests and daily quests will employ an automatic level adjustment system known as quest sync, which will match the difficulty to the player's current class level. Any experience received upon the completion of these quests will be adjusted accordingly. Furthermore, certain quests will not allow players to proceed with a class that is different than when they accepted them.

Main Quests
All necessary materials will be provided to crafters with every quest. The required recipes can be found under the Special Recipes tab of the Crafting Log.
* Players will be required to provide their own catalysts.
*Place carrot seeds in the carrot creation station.
*Obtain carrots from the carrot creation stations. 0/2
*Deliver the carrots to Dreamingway.
*Speak with Knockingway.

Journal
*Dreamingway has one last demonstration for you.

*Still determined to discover a dream worthy of pursuit, Dreamingway wishes to show you how the Loporrits grow carrots─by having you try it yourself. To begin, he asks that you bring a handful of seeds to the carrot creation station nearby.
**※Please note that the difficulty of this quest has been synced to your current level.

*You somewhat unceremoniously load the seeds into the carrot creation station, impressing Dreamingway nevertheless. He explains that the next step towards a bountiful harvest requires water crystals, which can be had from the sparkling supply station in the northeast corner of the Carrotorium.

*You find a large store of crystals exactly where Dreamingway said they would be. With crate in hand, you make your perilous journey over ramp and oversized stairway to arrive at a nearby carrot creation station.

*Once the crystals are deposited into the machine, all one needs do is wait for the carrots to grow. Fortuitously, after mere moments, Dreamingway hears a sound─undetectable to your ears─that indicates carrots elsewhere in the Carrotorium are ready for picking.

*You visit the surrounding creation stations and, surely enough, find two carrots practically begging to be plucked. After freeing them with satisfying tugs, you tuck them into your bag that you might present them to Dreamingway.

*Dreamingway commends you on a job well done, though sadly, your success only reaffirms his belief that he is an unremarkable Loporrit. Mention of his exceptional hearing, however, gives you an idea, and so you ask if he has ever considered musical pursuits. After a brief explanation of what music is, he hums a melody together with his companion Knockingway. Both find it to be a heartwarming experience, and thus is Dreamingway inspired to share the gift of music with anyone and everyone─a dream of his very own.

*Knockingway thanks you for solving Dreamingway's problem as only a person of Etheirys can. Similarly, the newly motivated Loporrit promises to practice his music often, hopeful that he will have a new tune to play for you when next you meet.
*Dreamingway is eager to set about his next task─whatever it may be.

*Dreamingway's next assignment is to repair a caretaker, and for that, he requires spare parts from Heimdall's Last Sight. He rushes off without a second thought─leaving you to give chase lest you lose him entirely.
**※Please note that the difficulty of this quest has been synced to your current level.

*You catch up to Dreamingway, who had gotten so far ahead of you that he worried you decided not to come. He has apparently learned absolutely nothing from this experience, as he then dashes off excitedly once more.

*When at last you reach Heimdall's Last Sight, Dreamingway says that he can salvage the parts from the crashed Allagan vessel on his own. He insists you relax and enjoy the view while he sets about his task.

*Whilst waiting, you hear a sudden shriek emanate from the area whence Dreamingway proceeded. You decide you had best check on the Loporrit.

*Your suspicions are confirmed as you find Dreamingway has been set upon by mechanical monstrosities. Steeling yourself, you slay the fiends to rescue your Loporrit companion.

*It transpires that Dreamingway is somewhat shaken, but otherwise none the worse for wear. What's more, he has managed to procure the parts needed to repair the caretaker.

*Dreamingway's work on the caretaker is completed in two shakes of a Loporrit's tail. Though he does not feel hopeful that his true calling involves the maintenance of machinery, there is still one job of his you have yet to see─carrot production.
*Dreamingway would show you how he spends his day.

*Dreamingway decides to show you one of the jobs that occupies his time on any given day─gathering resources. Before setting out on this most essential of tasks, however, he bids you join him in speaking with Thinkingway to learn what materials want for gathering.
**※Please note that the difficulty of this quest has been synced to your current level.

*According to Thinkingway, Buildingway is in need of crystals, a requirement Dreamingway seems especially familiar with. Dreamingway asks you to meet him in Vallis Vulneris, rushing ahead to find a suitable deposit of crystals to mine.

*By the time you arrive, Dreamingway has already finished mining all the crystals he requires. But as luck would have it, he recalls something else Buildingway recently asked for─grey sand. How fortuitous that the surrounding area is filled with it.

*The sand is coarse, rough, and irritating, and it made its way everywhere. Nevertheless, you gathered an ample store. Dreamingway is certain to be pleased with your contribution.

*As it transpires, Dreamingway is indeed more excited to receive a pile of sand than anyone should be. Perhaps you should be thankful that he didn't ask for more.

*When you make your delivery, Thinkingway shows themself to be somewhat perplexed as to how Dreamingway knew that Buildingway needed sand, but thanks you both for your hard work regardless. This brief stint in the life of Dreamingway failed to offer ideas for a dream to pursue, but your Loporrit companion is not deterred. He has more to show you, and is confident inspiration is forthcoming.
* Speak with Bwagi again.
* Speak with Montblanc.

Journal
* Alma is unwell, but as to what ails her, none can say. Lina suggests you continue your conversation on the Prima Vista.
* Jenomis is near a decision on where to take his next expedition, or at least so Lina believes.
* According to Jenomis's newest findings, the auracite are creations of an otherworldly being sealed beneath the Orbonne Monastery - an ancient sanctuary deep within the heart of a Dalmascan jungle. During the principal's speech, Cid appears to deliver Mikoto a device she requisitioned the chief engineer to build, then leaves without as much as a farewell.
* The device conceived by Mikoto is, in fact, a means of protecting Alma from the aetherial influence of Otius.
* Former royal fusilier and sky pirate Bwagi invites you aboard his airship that he may take you to speak with a general for the resistance movement to which he and his companions now belong.
* General Fran of the Dalmascan resistance group, Lente's Tears, promises her assistance in locating Orbonne Monastery in return for financial and military aid from both the Eorzean and Doman alliances, and the East Aldenard Trading Company.
* Montblanc appears both frightened and excited at the notion of aiding the Dalmascan resistance in their plight against the Garlean Empire; though, perhaps you should speak with Jenomis first before sharpening your blade.

Dialogue
Accepting the Quest
Lina Mewrilah: Greetings and salutations, [Player]! I suppose you are wondering whether or not the good Jenomis has finally determined where in the world our next adventure is to take us...

Lina Mewrilah: The good news is, he has. The bad news, however...

Lina Mewrilah: Now, while it is not in my nature to be sensationalist, sensationalism is in my job description, so please bear with me when I tell you not all is right aboard the airship Lexentale. Something about Alma has me deeply worried.

Lina Mewrilah: I would not trust this information in the hands of my publisher, let alone some sullen gate guard. Shall we continue our conversation on the Prima Vista away from inquisitive ears?

In the Airship Landing
Lina Mewrilah: Principal Jenomis claims to have learned much from his continued study of the Durai Papers. Still, he appears to be frustrated at a lack of information crucial to solving the mystery.

In the Prima Vista
Jenomis cen Lexentale: The question is, then, where exactly did Ramza and his fellowship journey next?

Jenomis cen Lexentale: Ah, [Player]. To what do we owe this unexpected visit? I had not planned on summoning you for another several turns of the sun.

Ramza bas Lexentale: I apologize if we have caused you any worry. I suppose one cannot allow a reporter in their midst and not expect her to report what she sees...though I did expect a tad more discretion from Miss Mewrilah.

Ramza bas Lexentale: Alma has, as of late, been experiencing...difficulties with her health. Chirurgeons have been called upon to discern what exactly it is that ails her, but as far as they can tell, there is nothing physically wrong with my sister. The consensus is the rigors of an extended stay in a foreign land have taken their toll on her fragile heart.

Alma bas Lexentale: [Player]! When did you─

Ramza bas Lexentale: Alma!

Alma bas Lexentale: I'm fine, Brother.

Ramza bas Lexentale: It is obvious you are not! You must return to your chambers and rest!

Alma bas Lexentale: Forgive me. Perhaps we shall speak again once I regain my strength. Until then, please... Look after my father.

Jenomis cen Lexentale: Now then, where were we? Ah, yes. The matter of our next expedition.

Jenomis cen Lexentale: As we discovered during our most recent foray into the Estersands, the Dalmascan capital of Rabanastre appears to lie upon the ruins of what can only be the Royal City of Lesalia─ancient capital of the lost kingdom of Ivalice.

Jenomis cen Lexentale: Shortly after, we stumbled across remnants of the legendary Clockwork City of Goug cleverly repurposed into a lighthouse overlooking the Ridorana Cataract─remnants which now sit suspended above the fathomless chasm.

Jenomis cen Lexentale: Lesalia, Goug. What have they in common, you ask? I shall tell you─they both appear in my ancestor's account of the rise of Ivalice: the Durai Papers.

Jenomis cen Lexentale: And with each new discovery, this forbidden chronicle is now proving Ivalician legend to be more fact than faerie tale.

Jenomis cen Lexentale: There is no denying the proof, and it is but a matter of time before scholars and historians from across the realm come to the same conclusions.

Jenomis cen Lexentale: But as you all are aware, my aim has never been to simply prove the existence of Ivalice. No, I shall not rest till I have revealed the truth of young Ramza's role in King Delita's ascension, and cleared my ancestor Orran Durai of the false accusations made against him by the church.

Jenomis cen Lexentale: Kugane's chirurgeons would have us believe she is in no immediate danger, as her illness is not one of the body, but of the mind. To borrow their words, her spirit is in a state of unbalance and merely requires time to right itself.

Ramza bas Lexentale: Alma will be fine as long as she remains in bed. The last thing she needs is any further excitement...especially at the paws of these meddlesome mole-bats.

Ramza bas Lexentale: Though, I must admit, both Montblanc and his brother have proven more useful than I would ever have dared to imagine.

Montblanc: When it comes to usefulness, I am first in the field...or was it furriest in the field? Would you like to feel my fur, kupo?

Hurdy: And you wonder why Ramza despises you so, Brother! They do all the work, and all you do is jest, kupo!

Ramza bas Lexentale: Ah, but you are mistaken, Hurdy. I bear neither you nor your brother any ill will. Any further ill will, that is. If anything, I owe you my thanks for your recent contributions.

Lina Mewrilah: His thanks? Are you hearing what I'm hearing? What happened to the venom-spitting adder we all used to know and hate?

Lina Mewrilah: Alma certainly seems pleased with the change, but forgive me for not buying into this all-too-convenient transformation.

Jenomis cen Lexentale: Simply showing the world that Ivalice actually existed will not validate the claims chronicled in the Durai Papers.

Ramza bas Lexentale: That is correct, Father. The key lies with Ramza Beoulve. If we can find evidence of his hidden role in history, it will prove Orran's testimony true and safeguard our family name from ridicule.

Jenomis cen Lexentale: Which is why I turned the focus of my research to Delita's forgotten companion and his actions during the War of the Lions. It was only then I discovered something most intriguing─an underlying struggle with an unknown force, a force with the power to bring about calamitous ruin.

Ramza bas Lexentale: Auracite! The twisted abominations we encountered in both Lesalia and Goug─the Lucavi─they are born of these unholy crystals.

Ramza bas Lexentale: While nobles of the north and south squabbled over Ivalice's crown, Ramza silently sought to rid the world of a darker evil─evil manifest from the deepest desires of men and women whose minds had fallen prey to the auracite.

Jenomis cen Lexentale: And with each confrontation did Ramza's fellowship grow smaller. Countless companions lost to a cause that would go unwritten, yet was far more important than any clash of armies. And so did they endure, until reaching their final destination: the Orbonne Monastery.

Lina Mewrilah: Oh, I know this one! The Orbonne Monastery is where Princess Ovelia was raised! There is a scene about it in The Zodiac Brave Story!

Lina Mewrilah: After Delita emerged victorious in his final campaign, he married the princess to legitimize his claim to the throne of Ivalice.

Jenomis cen Lexentale: Ah, I see someone has been paying attention.

Mikoto
Mikoto: I sense that you are interested in the package Cid delivered. I have every intention to apprise you of its contents, but first I believe we should speak of Alma's condition.

Mikoto: Do you not find her illness all too timely? Jenomis and Ramza would like to believe that her bouts of vertigo are naught but a result of a mind fatigued, but the answer is clear: it is the auracite that plagues her.

Mikoto: Alma recently confided in me that she would hear her father speaking with the Otius, well before even his first foray into Rabanastre. However, I do not think this entirely true.

Mikoto: Which is not to imply that Alma is trying to deceive us. Rather, I think she saw something that led her to believe her father was conversing with the auracite. Moreover, I suspect it was the auracite itself that granted her this vision.

Mikoto: You recall my hypothesis on distinct-frequency NRR-type harmonic vibrations and their tendency to promote aetherial amplification? Or when I mentioned that despite being in the principal's possession for an extended period, the Otius exhibited none of the imprinting present in the Duma? No?

Mikoto: The Otius has never resonated with Jenomis; it has always been his wife's pendant and its auracite shard─the Virgo─that fueled his passion for Ivalice. No, the Otius is bound to Alma's deepest desires...whatever those may be.

Mikoto: The only reasons I can fathom that Alma has not fallen victim to the auracite's grasp is that her desires are not as strong as those we have witnessed in Argath or Ba'Gamnan. That and the aetherial interference caused by other nearby shards.

Mikoto: I have explained all of this to Alma and recommended that she destroy the necklace, yet not only did she refuse, but she begged me to keep this revelation from her father.

Mikoto: And so I did the only thing I could: I devised a means with which I might impede, or at least lessen, the effects of the Otius.

Mikoto: This device, while still incomplete, will amplify the NRR wavelengths emitted by the Virgo. This should work to interfere with those emitted by the Otius, thereby shielding Alma from the brunt of their effect.

Montblanc: The city below is all abuzz with word of a Bangaa brigand loitering about the airship landing. Do you think it could be someone we know, kupo?

Back in the Airship Landing
Montblanc: The city below is all abuzz with word of a Bangaa brigand loitering about the airship landing. Do you think it could be someone we know, kupo?

Bwagi: Apologies, [Player], but I needed to speak with you...and you alone.

Montblanc: Oh don't mind me, kupo! I'll just be floating over here in perfect earshot.

Bwagi: Why you─! What makes you think I won't lay you low, right here, right now?

Montblanc: Because we're here to offer you a proposition, that's what! We need information on the Golmore Jungle, and thought a man as well traveled as you might be persuaded to provide some.

Bwagi: Golmore? You of all creatures should know that is Viera land. What are you offering, then?

Bwagi: Very well. [Player], I came to ask if you would meet someone. Now it seems that someone may be able to assist Jenomis, as well. Seeing as you and the principal did right by us before, I do not see a reason why I cannot take both of you.

Bwagi: Let me know when you are ready to depart for Rabanastre. We will travel in our airship. The Prima Vista would draw too much unwanted attention.

Nikoval: Added missing Slug Shot action icon in the Low Ping Opener

Guides
With the threat of Dragons growing ever present, the Skysteel Manufactory took inspiration from the incredible Magitek works of Cid nan Garlond and began working tirelessly to advance the slew of armaments already at their disposal. Thanks to the work of Stephanivien de Haillenarte, Magitek and Aetherology were brought together to create an entirely new weapon to be brought into the fray, and a new class of champion arose to wield them: the Machinist.

Unlock
To unlock the Machinist Job, players must first have purchased the Heavensward expansion, as well as a Disciple of War or Disciple of Magic leveled to at least level 50. Players will also need to complete the quest Before the Dawn to gain access to Ishgard. From there, players can take the quest Savior of Skysteel to gain access to the class.

Attributes
Outside of the Weapon Damage stat, Machinist's make use of the Dexterity stat to determine how much damage it deals. The Critical Hit and Direct Hit stats are in equal measure for secondary stats, as both play into affecting damage output. However, it is recommended to focus on Critical Hit slightly over Direct Hit. Players should also focus on Skill Speed until they are comfortable with their Global Cooldown speed.

Gearing Up
Machinists use a gun or handgonne as their main weapon and equip gear from the Aiming gearset. Players will be able to purchase gear from vendors every few levels, but gear from dungeons and raids is preferable over this, however. If players are able to afford purchasing the Tomestone gear from the end of each expansion, they will not need to upgrade gear nearly as often, with Tomestone gear being more than enough to carry them through each 10-level gap. If a player is using Machinist as their main job, the Main Scenario Quest rewards should also provide ample gear to get players through to endgame. Otherwise, dungeons and vendors will be the main gearing up method.

Materia
Affixing Materia to your gear will provide a boost to stats, allowing players to augment their Strength and Skill Speed, amongst others. It is important to fully affix Materia to gear, as it can give a massive boost during endgame content.

For Machinists, focusing on Dexterity is key, as the stat determines how much damage the Machinist's weapon can deal. Following behind that, Critical Hit Materia boosts the chances of skills dealing heavy damage outside of Reassemble. Direct Hit is also important as landing a Direct Hit boosts damage by 25%.

Leveling
Machinist becomes available as soon as players can enter into Ishgard, meaning that once they level the class through dungeons, FATEs or other means, if they haven’t done the Main Scenario past this initial unlock point, the main story quests will provide more than enough EXP and basic gear to get players through the story.

If players have finished the Main Scenario, then there are plenty of dungeons available to enter, as well as Daily Roulettes, where a player enters a duty or dungeon at or under the current level of their equipped Job.

Players can also access the Deep Dungeon content Palace of the Dead or Heaven on High (Heaven on High will only be available once a player reaches level 60 with the job they intend to use to enter). These offer a great way to level up and also let players learn how best to use their job from the very beginning.

EXP Buffs
Players can gain increased EXP through various stacking buffs:
*Food: Food offers a 3% EXP buff as well as a boost to certain stats. It is recommended that players consume food that offer a bonus to the main stats of their job, in this case Strength.
*Armory Bonus: the Armory Bonus is a buff that is given to make leveling alternate jobs easier. If a player is using Samurai as a secondary job, this buff will be applied as long as there is a discrepancy in levels between Samurai and a higher-level job.
*Rested EXP: Rested EXP is given when players spend time in a city state. The EXP bar will fill with a light blue color, indicating that players have at least one level's worth of EXP that will be given out in a percentage bonus to each bit of EXP earned.
*Grand Company & Free Company Buffs: these buffs are the same with slightly different names. If players are in a Free Company with the requisite level, they can activate this buff. Alternatively, if a player has unlocked Squadrons in their Grand Company, they can undertake various missions to receive a Squadron Battle Manual as a reward, offering another EXP bonus. Note however, that the EXP buffs from the Grand Company and Free Company can not stack.

Class Guide
Machinist is on the easier side to learn. It is a fast-paced job that allows for a lot of movement, keeping the job feeling free and easy to use. The rotation is a little stricter than others, but it makes the job great at buffing and dealing heavy burst damage while keeping the use of its job gauge resources fairly flexible.

The job uses the Heat gauge and the Battery Gauge. The Heat gauge is accrued by using basic skills and is used to activate the Hypercharge skill to enter a burst window. The Battery gauge is used to summon the Automaton Queen at 50 Battery, which will fight by your side based on how much Battery available for skills.

Openers
The important thing to watch is when Wildfire is available. The ability has the potential to deal massive damage and is on a two-minute cooldown, so lining it up with raid buffs and burst windows to take full advantage of this skill is crucial.

Most openers will begin with Reassemble to guarantee a critical hit, followed by the potion that a player has chosen.

It's important to note that Wildfire snapshots any buffs that are up when its cast, not when it explodes. Therefore, it is important to use the skill at the correct time to deal as much damage as possible.

* General Opener
Best opener on average for most content. It is slightly tighter on timing to be able to maintain the double weave alignment for Wildfire and Hypercharge.
** Reassemble-Drill-Gauss Round-Ricochet-Split Shot-Barrel Stabilizer-Slug Shot-Air Anchor-Gauss Round-Ricochet-Clean Shot-Gauss Round-Hypercharge-Heat Blast-Wildfire-Heat Blast-Ricochet-Heat Blast-Gauss Round-Heat Blast-Ricochet-Gauss Round-Drill-Ricochet-Gauss Round-Split Shot-Ricochet-Slug Shot-Clean Shot.
From here, players will exit their potion window and can enter into their rotation.

* Fast Opener
This rotation is generally used when raid wide buffs come out quickly from other party members. It has a lot of possible optimizations for downtime but won't often be the best option.
** Reassemble-Drill-Gauss Round-Ricochet-Split Shot-Barrel Stabilizer-Air Anchor-Wildfire-Hypercharge-Heat Blast-Gauss Round-Heat Blast-Ricochet-Heat Blast-Gauss Round-Heat Blast-Ricochet-Heat Blast-Gauss Round-Slug Shot-Ricochet-Gauss Round-Clean Shot-Drill-Split Shot-Slug Shot-Clean Shot. From here, players will exit their potion window and can enter into their rotation.

* Low Ping Opener
This opener has very tight timing but is able to employ the full effectiveness of raid buffs on Wildfire‘ but requires a very low ping to make effective.
** Reassemble-DrillGauss Round-Ricochet-Split Shot-Barrel Stabilizer-Slug Shot-Air Anchor-Gauss Round-Ricochet-Clean Shot-Wildfire-Hypercharge-Heat Blast-Gauss Round-Heat Blast-Ricochet-Heat Blast-Gauss Round-Heat Blast-Ricochet-Heat Blast-Gauss Round-Drill-Ricochet-Split Shot-Slug Shot-Clean Shot. From here, players will exit their potion window and can enter into their rotation.

Rotation
Generally, players will want to have their Machinist Global Cooldown around 2.5 seconds. This allows for a perfect loop every two minutes, consisting of eight skills and weaving of off-Global Cooldown skills.

Having this timing allows for using Wildfire as the start of a new rotation since it doesn't change its active time with Skill Speed. This lets players use this as the center for planning for when certain buffs will be activated.

The general rules for the Machinist's rotation are as follows:
*The opening strings of Global Cooldowns will generally start with Reassemble and Drill and repeat from the Wildfire window.
*Using and managing the resource gauges efficiently.
*Using bursts as often as possible with raid wide buffs
*Keeping the timings for Drill, Air Anchor and Wildfire as strict as possible to avoid having them in different places in the loops of a rotation. This allows for accurate looping.

Pairing of certain skills, like Drill with Reassembly and Wildfire and Hypercharge will help push damage higher and align more naturally within a rotation. When these skills are on cooldown, players can then assume to use Heated Split Shot combos as filler and to accumulate Heat. It is important to note that depending on what content being undertaken, there may be downtimes and breaks in the fight that are long enough to require a player to redo their opening with Drill or other abilities on cooldown. It is possible to recover and return into a normal rotation by simply delaying the use of abilities.

AoE Skills
Each AoE skill is useful depending on how many enemies are attacking in the mob. The priority for these skills is:
* Bioblaster-Auto Crossbow-Flamethrower-Spread Shot.

Using Bioblaster with two targets will end up dealing slightly more damage over Drill, however if Reassembled is active, using Drill is a much better option. For three or more targets, using Reassembled on Auto Crossbow and Flamethrower will deal more damage and be more efficient in taking out multiple targets.

Automaton Queen and gauges
Having flexibility when using the Heat and Battery gauges is one of the Machinist's strengths. Making sure to not overcap on resources and using them as much as possible in an encounter will help keep DPS high.

One of the most useful tools in the Machinist's arsenal is the Automaton Queen. The Automaton's strength scales based on how much battery gauge is available when summoned. For every 10 Battery in the gauge after summoning, the Automaton gains 230 Potency with 80 potency in the final attack, Pilebunker. With a full gauge, the Automaton can do 2300 potency worth of damage, 800 of which comes out in Pilebunker. It also receives buffs in real time that mirror the players, making it a very powerful tool if summoned in line with raid wide buffs.

Summoning the Automaton Queen in line with buffs is essential but difficult, as the Automaton has a five second animation that plays after it is initially summoned. Therefore, summoning just before buffs come out can be tracked via Reassembly, used roughly every minute if the rotation is done properly. A two-minute rotation generates 160 Battery, meaning every minute an Automaton can be summoned with 80 Battery that also lines up with how quickly raid buffs usually come out.

Again, depending on the fight, there may be downtime or pauses in the battle, in which it is a better idea to delay summoning the Automaton Queen instead of wasting Battery and having to scramble to refill the gauge and get back on track. This comes with both practice and knowledge of the fight.
