Guide
The Endsinger
Falling off the arena is possible. Do NOT use LB3 before the add phase.

Phase 1
Elegeia: Raid-wide AoE and spawns two planets circling the arena. Pay attention to the SLOWER moving planet and move away from it as it will spawn a huge AoE on the side of the platform when they collide.

Galaxias: The Endsinger drops a meteor in the middle, creating a knockback. Move to the middle so you're knocked back only halfway and do not fall off of the platform. If you have an anti-knockback skill, be sure to use it.

Elenchos: The Endsinger will spawn one of two possible attacks:
* If her MOUTH GLOWS purple - a line AoE will shoot through the middle --> Move to the sides.
* If her EYES TEAR down her face in purple streaks - two line AoEs will shoot out on the sides --> Move to the middle.

Death's Embrace: Targets players with narrow cone AoE that follows the player when they move. Spread these out; DO NOT OVERLAP with other party members. Right after this attack a couple of adds called "Feather of Despair" will drop and start casting Pharmakon. Simply move away from the feathers, as they will spawn circle AoEs at their bases.

Aporrhos: Spawns 4 faces similar to that of The Endsinger which will cast a line AoE in the direction they are facing, like the mouth version of Elenchos. Position in between the faces to avoid this attack.

Hubris: Tankbuster on both tanks - spread these out as they are AoE attacks. Tanks: pop multiple cooldowns here. Healers: be ready to help heal them through this.

Elegeia Unforgotten: Like the original version this is a raid-wide AoE attack, followed by the spawn of two planets that will eventually collide. Watch the SLOWER moving planet for the collision. The boss will then begin to reconstruct the moon and cast the next spell,... Note: The planets will always explode in the same order if more than one collision is shown.

Fatalism: Rewinds the recorded event, will be cast within a Elegeia Unforgotten window.

Ekstasis: The Endsinger drops AoE puddles across the platform, these puddles will turn into heads which will in turn drop growing AoE puddles. Position yourself all the way at the edge at cardinal positions to avoid the puddles.

Interstellar: Before this attack The Endsinger changes its position and is indicated with the voiceline "'Tis so lonely between the stars". This attack will cleave through the middle so players should move to the sides of the arena, but at the same time it targets four players with an AoE circle. Position yourself so AoEs do not overlap and leave safe space for players without AoEs.

Nemesis: Spawns a targetted AoE on every player, spread out to avoid overlapping.

Planetes: Phase swap to adds.

Add Phase
Add phase starts with a cutscene showing The Endsinger spawning an add and eventually starts creating a purple orb of oblivion. The add known as Kakodaimon has the following abilities and must be slain before Despair bar reaches 100:
* Meteor Radiant: Spawns planets on the outside of the arena that signalises where they are about to fall through a rainbow coloured arrow. To avoid the AoE simply move away from the location the arrow lands at.
* Meteor Outburst: Targets every player with an own AoE, spread out to avoid overlapping.

After Kakodaimon is dead, The Endsinger will proceed to cast Ultimate Fate onto the players, this must be countered with mitigation and a tank LB3. Cast tank LB3 at around the count of 3-2 seconds to ensure it is not too early or too late. Keep in mind the boss will reverse this mechanic but a second LB is not possible nor is it needed.

Phase 2
Telos: Raid-wide AoE.

Telomania: This mechanic is a combination of multiple and repeats until you kill The Endsinger. The combination is as following:
* First part of Telomania consists of four cleaves over the arena, mitigate and heal these as necessary.
* Second part of Telomania is a raid-wide AoE similar to the one of Telos, however it is not as hard hitting.
* Lastly, three sets of puddles will spawn under some players. Simply move to avoid getting hit.

Loot
Accepting the Quest
Tataru: Um...[Player]? Could you spare a moment? While Krile goes and finds this expert of hers, I mean. There's a gift I was hoping to send to our friends in the First, you see...and since we might be waiting a while, I wondered if you wouldn't mind giving me a hand with it. My first attempt turned out well, so now I'm going to make it properly. I'll be in the kitchen at the House of Splendors. Meet me there!

Krile: Well, I had better be off too. I shall see you soon, either here or at the House, depending on how our patients fare in my absence.

NOTE: The kitchen can be found on the second level. Flying up and entering is easiest.

At the House of Splendors
Tataru: There you are, [Player]! As I'm sure you've guessed, the gift is a bit of home cooking. Unlike Krile, I can't do much to help our friends directly. But that doesn't mean I've been idle. No, I've been doing my best for the order, taking on this job and that to keep our coffers full. I've even helped out with the Ishgardian restoration.

Tataru: And in the course of all this, my culinary skills have come on quite a bit. So I thought, why not make something for our friends? It's baking in the oven even as we speak. Shouldn't be long now! There! Baked to perfection, even if I do say so myself!

Player: It's...bread. / Smells great! / Your cake looks like bread.

Tataru: But not just any old bread! This here is Old World bread. "Archon loaf", to be precise. It's what they eat over in Sharlayan! Simple fare, I admit, but I thought it would remind our friends of home. If nothing else, Krile tells me it's a good source of aether. So it should lend them a bit of strength at least.

Krile: Mmm-mmmmmm! There truly is nothing like the smell of bread fresh from the oven!

Tataru: Krile! And if it isn't Rammbroes too!

Krile: I trust you require no introductions either, [Player].

Rammbroes: Greetings, my friend. Full glad am I to see you well. I confess, I have a malm-long list of questions to ask you, but I will endeavor to contain my curiosity for the present. I understand our mutual friend is struggling with the application of certain Allagan technologies.

Krile: I have been keeping Rammbroes apprised of events in the First. Suffice it to say, he knows about the Exarch. If anyone alive can provide insight into this matter, it is him and his fellow Sons.

Rammbroes: Ahem. Loath as I am to disappoint you after so glowing an endorsement...Memory transference was the sole province of Allagan royalty, its mechanisms closely guarded secrets. If any record of them remains, we have yet to find it. To wit, I regret that I can offer no solution to your problem.

Rammbroes:...Which begs the question of why I bothered to come here, empty-handed as I am─the answer being, rather brazenly, to ask a favor. I would have you relay a message to our comrade. Tell him...Tell him that we never doubted him. Never doubted that he would achieve all that he said he would. Those of us who remained behind have yet to play our part.

Rammbroes: But when the time comes, he may rest easy in the knowledge that we will most assuredly do so. And then the tower shall shine once more as a beacon of hope, in this world and beyond. So tell him that we consider his duty done─and that he should follow his heart now.

Krile: Forgive me, but do you say this to discourage him from overexerting himself? Or to encourage him to hold nothing back?

Rammbroes: That is for our friend to decide, but either way, I daresay a certain someone will be unimpressed.

Krile: Well, there you have it, [Player] If you would be so good as to see Rammbroes's message and Tataru's bread to their intended recipients─along with my report, of course.

Tataru: Um, Krile? Before I wrap the bread up, would you mind giving it a try? Just to make sure everything's as it should be?

Krile: But of course! I'm always happy to lend my taste buds! Hmmm...Hmmmmmm...Excuse me, Rammbroes. As a fellow Sharlayan, may I trouble you for your opinion?

Rammbroes: Well, I usually have mine with a good dollop rolanberry jam, but I suppose plain is best for sampling purposes. <munch> <munch> I see, I see...

Tataru: Oh no...Is it that bad?

Krile: It is indeed, Tataru. Dense and unpleasant...exactly as it should be!

Rammbroes: Gahaha! Just so! The very taste of home! As you might expect our countrymen have amassed a wealth of culinary wisdom from every corner of the world. But our native cuisine is...shall we say, a little lacking. In Sharlayan, the majority regard food as a source of nourishment rather than enjoyment. Save for those few who actually research the culinary arts, we pay little heed to the niceties of taste and texture.

Rammbroes: It was against such a gastronomic landscape that what is now called the "Archon loaf" was born, the creation of an Archon who devoted himself to the study of bodily sustenance. In order to maximize its nutritional value, he incorporated copious quantities of pulverized fish and vegetable matter into the dough─all with nary a care for those qualities which make bread enjoyable. The result is a flavor that continues to defy description.

Rammbroes: Yet for its many shortcomings, the loaf's nutritional value cannot be denied. And being a damnably convenient way to cater to one's bodily needs, it quickly found an audience amongst busy scholars. Why, when I was a lad, nigh every meal was a sandwich mad with this very bread and whatever ingredients happened to be on hand.

Krile: Hm hm! I suspect just about every Archon could say the same. Having been away from home for so long, I thought I might have forgotten the taste. But no─it is all too familiar. Ahhh, how it takes me back...

Rammbroes: If there is enough, perhaps you can spare some for the Exarch? He is certain to appreciate it.

Tataru: Oh, there's plenty to go around. I'll be sure to wrap up and extra slice. [Player], when you deliver the loaf, please be sure to send everyone my regards. Tell them we're doing everything we can, and that we'll be praying for their safe return until the moment they get back.

In the Ocular
Crystal Exarch: Welcome back, my friend. How was your journey? By the Twelve...Archon loaf! However did you come by this? I'd swear it had come straight from Sharlayan...Rammbroes said that did he? <sigh> His words are very nearly as heavy as the bread...but I appreciate the sentiment.

Crystal Exarch: Should you have the chance, you may tell him that he needn't worry. That which I seek to do, I do of my own volition, and with all my heart. In pursuing this path, I fully expect to earn the censure of our friends─and to deserve it─but I shall forge on regardless. Forge on as you yourself did when faced with a similar predicament. So I ask that you have faith in me. In what we do.

Crystal Exarch: ...But we were talking about your journey. Before the others arrive, I would hear how their bodies fare. Oh, and the bread I shall save for later. Though it has been many years, I have not forgotten the feats of mastication required to consume it, nor how unconducive they are to conversation.

Alphinaud: Forgive the delay.

Thancred: We have visited every region and confirmed the presence of Ascians throughout the realm.

Urianger: Lest a grave predicament be made to seem hopeless, it should be noted that they are of inferior rank. The black-masked minions who answer to the red.

Thancred: Yes. A gaggle of schemers attempting to exploit recent events to sow the seeds of petty conflict. Fortunately, nothing of any great concern has come of their meddling just yet.

Alisaie: We also encountered a number of the Crystarium's former defenders, busily solving this problem and that in a bid to become Warriors of Light.

Crystal Exarch: Their zeal is to be applauded. 'Tis but a pity I cannot encourage them on their course...

Thancred: Not knowing Elidibus set them upon it, no. Both the troubles to be solved and the villains to be vanquished are his doing too, like as not. And so, with apologies to the aspiring Warriors of Light, I believe it best that we deal with the Ascians quickly and quietly.

Crystal Exarch: I quite agree.

Alphinaud: But tell us, what news from the Source? How fare our bodies?

Player: Uh...well enough─though time is not on our side / I'm sorry, but...things have taken a turn for the worse

Alphinaud: Indeed. Heartening though it is to know we can stay awhile longer, returning home must remain our priority.

Alisaie: This seems an appropriate moment to ask about the spirit vessel. Have you made any progress?

Beq Lugg: We have, as it happens. One moment.

Urianger: The red stones...Then this doth mean...

Beq Lugg: For the benefit of all, permit us to explain. As you will recall, using white auracite as our starting point, we fashioned a vessel for mind and memory both. Yet, though it served this purpose admirably, the process of imbuing it with one's complete essence proved a somewhat thornier proposition. Simply put, the memory would not accompany the mind. And so we looked to the Allagans' mastery of memory transference for a solution.

Crystal Exarch: This approach was not without its own complications, however, relying as it does upon blood─which inanimate objects notably do not possess. We duly explored methods of suffusing the vessel with drops of the aforementioned. Alas, our painstaking experimentation succeeding only in making me feel faint, and singularly failed to imbue the crystal with the necessary properties. It was then that an idea occurred to me: namely, that we might fuse the vessel not with normal blood, but with my crystallized essence.

Alisaise: You're doing this for our sakes, so far be it from us to complain...But don't think we haven't noticed what's happening to your arm.

Crystal Exarch: It falls well short of offering up my life in exchange for yours─which was your only stipulated prohibition, as I recall. And it is but a small price to pay for delivering you home.

Beq Lugg: Assuming it works. We shall soon know if this grisly addition will serve as a suitable conduit for the subject's memory. Though...not soon enough to warrant your waiting. The test is like to take a while.

Thancred: Let us be off, then. We have Ascians to attend to, among other things.

Alisaie: Forgive me, but I count six vessels. And there are only five of us.

Crystal Exarch: One is for testing purposes. I will personally use it to see whether the crystal functions as it should.

Alisaie: And...if it does, wouldn't that mean that your soul could also return to the Source?

Crystal Exarch: Yes. In theory, at least. But there is a distinct difference between your circumstances and mine. While your corporeal forms want for souls, my past self does not. Mayhap our essences would blend. Or mayhap they would curdle. There is no telling what might occur.

Alisaie: And you'd be willing to take that risk?

Crystal Exarch: I would.

Alisaie: I see.

Finishing the Quest
Urianger: Hast thou a moment, [Player]? I would speak with thee on the matter of the Exarch's mooted return unto the Source. Thou wilt have observed that our friend spake not in certainties. Yet if Beq Lugg hath the right of it, 'tis possible to predict the outcome of his plan with some confidence. And it is their assessment that, given the opportunity, the Exarch's soul should successfully merge with that of his younger self. Which is not to say the process is without complications.

Urianger: For one, the Exarch hath been subjected to an additional Rejoining, an experience which will have wrought a change in his aetherial composition. As thou thyself didst demonstrate in merging with Ardbert, however, there existeth an affinity 'twixt like souls, and this doth give us cause to hope...Yet there remaineth one immutable condition upon which success doth hinge. The Exarch must needs recognize his past self as simply that─himself.

Urianger: As our recent travails have demonstrated, memories are essential to the soul. Any discrepancy in the former may feasibly cause the latter to spurn its former flesh. 'Tis a seemingly simple yet complex problem. For nigh on a century, our friend hath striven only to deliver this realm, to deliver thee. And to that singular end did he cast aside his very name, that he might assume the mantle of the Crystal Exarch.

Urianger: Henceforth, none can say what choices our friend will make, but I thought it only right that thou be made aware of these truths.

Introduction
Aether Currents are required to unlock the ability to fly on mounts. Each zone released in Heavensward (3.0), Stormblood (4.0), and Shadowbringers (5.0) has 15 Aether Currents (with the exception of Azys Lla, which only has 5). Players are required to attune to all 15 Aether Currents to unlock flying in that zone. Some Aether Currents are found scattered throughout the zone, others are rewarded by completing Main Scenario Quests and Side Quests. Aether Currents in the field look like greenish blobs of wind, players can right click on them to attune. Players can check their attunement progress through the Aether Currents window under Travel in the Main Menu.

Unlock
Aether Currents are unlocked after completing the 3.0 Main Scenario Quest main. The same quest that awards the player the and .
Steps
*Speak with Minfilia.
*Speak with Magnus.<br>※Solo Duty will commence upon speaking with Magnus.
*Speak with Minfilia.

Journal
* Repairs to the Talos are complete, as are preparations for you voyage. Eager to enjoy the fruits of his labors, Magnus leaves with Thaffe and Jeryk for the Mount Biran Mines to perform a few final checks and plot your route to Nabaath Areng. He bids you join them when you are ready.
* Before long, Minfilia will come face-to-face with the original Oracle–the real Minfilia. But despite her understandable trepidation, she assures you of her commitment to see her journey through to its end. With both Thancred and Urianger also ready to set off, you have only to speak with Magnus to proceed.
* You board the trolley, but Minfilia quickly notes Urianger's failure to follow suit. He duly insists you continue without him, that he might inform Alphinaud and the others of your progress. After a short farewell, the Talos is set into motion, and the trolley begins racing down the tracks. The gate to Nabaath Areng opens wihtout incident, but an unwelcome sight awaits you on the other side–Ran'jit.
* With a single blow, Ran'jit topples the trolley, sending you and the others tumbling in all directions. Struggling to her feet, Minfilia pleads with him to let you pass, but her words only serve to send him into a rage. He moves to strike her down, but is prevented by Thancred at the last moment. Eyes aflame, the Scion commands Minfilia to leave while he contends with Ran'jit. After a moment's hesitation you take Minfilia with you southward, the clang of steel ringing out behind you.
* At long last, you have arrived at Nabaath Areng. Within awaits the Oracle. Minfilia steels herself as you press onward, still unsure how this reunion with her kindred spirit from the Source will end.

Walkthrough
* In this solo duty, you will be fighting as Thancred.
* As with the last Duty fight against them, Gukumatz will be untargetable throughout this fight.
* General Ran'jit has access to circular and linear AOE attacks.
* Gukumatz will occasionally inflict "Down for the Count" on you.
* At 85%, Ran'jit will fuse with Gukumatz, gaining access to new attacks.
* When the duty action Perfect Deception is available, use it to hide out of sight from Ran'jit. Be warned, however, that Thancred will suffer Fading Fast, a status that will result in a KO and a "Failed Duty" if not removed in time. To remove it, cast the Duty action "Shining Blade", the same specialty action button used to make yourself invisible.
* Near the end of the fight, Perfect Deception will change to Souldeep Invisibility and Shining Blade will change to Leap of Faith respectively. Same pros and cons as the former, however Thancred will also suffer Vital Sign, which will reduce movement speed. Cast Leap of Faith to end the duty.

NOTE: I found it easier to trigger these if you come up and stand closer to Ran'jit, do it, look for the sparkle and glow about your character, then prepare to strike. Furthermore, this has a long cast of approximately 3 seconds that you may/may not have to hold the button to trigger-- it was all very touch-and-go getting it to respond.
Steps
* Speak with Y'shtola.<br/>※ Solo Duty will comence upon speaking with Y'shtola.
* Speak with Thancred.

Journal
* Almet explains to you and Y'shtola the possible dangers that await within the final chamber of the pyramid, offering you whisperweed to use in the event you find yourselves separated. With her words in mind, you enter the chamber prepared for the worst.
* Once inside, you soon realize the chamber is a labyrinth, filled with magicked sentinels and perilous traps at every turn. The end is nearly in sight when you encounter a most unexpected obstacle: General Ran'jit. Uimet and Cymet follow him into the temple and, together with their sister, hold him off long enough for you to activate the final switch restoring the flow of aether through the whole of the pyramid, thus opening the path through the Qitana Ravel.
* Despite your success, Ran'jit has no intention of allowing you to leave. After making quick work of the Viis sisters, he comes barreling down the corridor toward you. His onslaught is cut short, however, when Y'shtola steps in the way to protect you with a barrier. The Eulmoran adjutant, finally taking notice of his general's struggles, rushes to help him when he steps on a curious panel on the floor. The room begins to tremble, and soon they find the floor falling out from under them, forcing them to a corner opposite the exit, a gaping chasm now preventing their escape.
* All present expect a rescue party to arrive, though it remains to be seen if the Scions or Eulmorans will arrive first. Still, not wanting to risk an altercation, the adjutant makes a proposal: a number of the Blessed have been poisoned, and the adjutant is willing to provide you with an antidote, granted he and his commander are allowed safe passage out of the temple. General Ran'jit is disgusted by this proposition, choosing to rid himself of the adjutant and any hope of saving the Blessed by kicking him into the chasm along with the antidote. Without thinking, Y'shtola leaps into the void, grabs hold of the antidote, and tosses it to you before disappearing into the dark.
* Her last words continue to ring in your ears as Minfilia, Thancred, and Urianger arrive. General Ran'jit has no time to react as he is summarily ensnared in an enchantment and sent down into the depths with a swift strike from Thancred's gunblade. A bittersweet victory, but victory nonetheless. With the antidote in hand, you take your leave of the pyramid with the Scions.
* The group is still reeling from Y'shtola's sacrifice, yet with the Night's Blessed all but knocking on death's door, you have no choice but to press on. Before rushing headlong into more danger, however, Thancred suggests waiting for news from Uimet of the Eulmoran forces that entered Yx'Maja.

Walkthrough
* The first room contains sentinels moving around the room counter-clockwise. Position yourself between their paths, far enough behind the last as not to draw its enmity, but do not delay so long as to be caught by the second. Watch them move a moment, and pace yourself.
* The second portion contains sentinels which will meet and walk away from one another. Your best bet is to look for the opening along the middle of their path. It will be a three-sided opening. Quickly move into the hole to avoid detection. Do this all the way around. If caught, you will be cursed. After so many stacks of the curse, you will die.
* The third section is easy-- when Y'Shtola casts glamour, SPRINT (whatever spell or ability that will enable you to move quickly) across the room. Activate the teleporter, and step into the circle and wait to be teleported.
* The fourth section is a puzzle. Your goal is the yellow portal. If you land on a blue one, you will be forced to start over. When you step onto the stones with arrows, you will be moved quickly in the direction that they are pointing! There are broken-walled squares that you are safe to stand in to make your next move. Follow the arrows to find the best route to the yellow portal.
* The fifth section will release several boulders that will move quickly down the ramp. RUN! Using a zig-zag pattern, slip into the missing sections of the wall (there will be light there) and run out immediately after the boulder passes! Continue running down the ramp and when you get to the end, jump! You will fall a ways down, but you will not suffer damage. VERY "Indiana Jones & the Temple of Doom" :)
* Next, you will encounter General Ran'jit and one of his officers. There will be a brief section of fighting. Do not be discouraged as the Viera warriors, the sisters, will join the fight. Her sisters will call out for you to run while they hold them off. Move to the side door as it will then be clickable.
* As you move into the next room, two large sentinels will be standing guard and attack. Move quickly around them and seize the prize while Y'Shtola stops them.

Without giving away the story, there will be cinematics at this point before being teleported out of the solo instance.

When you were swimming to open the seal, notice the position of the statues:

"Come together, share despair"

The wolf statue and the opo-opo statue were pointed at one another

"Go thy ways, dread burdens bear"

The serpent and the coeurl statues are looking in opposite directions of each other

"Mark the crown, heed its call"

The owl statue is looking towards the pyramid. Furthermore, the owl is also the animal on the royal seal of the Ronkans. You WANT to get inside, so you would do best to "heed its call"

"Avert thy gaze, forever fall"

The colibri statue is looking away (averting its gaze) from the pyramid

Doing so will cause you to fail, and you'll have to run back to grab the small statue to start over. Find the path, and place the small statue on the pedestal to continue.
