Overview
Cloud Nine is a Crystalline Conflict arena introduced in Patch 6.1 for Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker. Set high above the clouds on floating platforms, the battlefield combines open-air combat with unique environmental hazards, including a turbulent launch into the air and powerful wind gusts that can knock players around the stage. The map rewards strong spatial awareness, mobility, and timing.

Layout & Landmarks
Cloud Nine has a map that is symmetrical and compact, with several points of interest:
* Starting Zones: Each team begins on opposite sides of the floating platform, separated by symmetrical bridges that converge toward the center. Each starting zone also offers a jump glyph found to the east that offers quick passage to the central arena.
* Central Arena: The tactical crystal starts on the main platform at the map’s midpoint, surrounded by large walls. A medicine kit can be found on the outer ends of the walls of both teams, offering healing for quick escapes.
* Outer Areas: Narrow paths and ledges flank both sides, with a medicine kit found behind a set of walls.

Map Effects & Gimmicks
Cloud Nine introduces a major environmental hazard known as Turbulence. Prior to Turbulence beginning, a 20 second countdown starts roughly a minute and a half to two minutes after the game begins. During this countdown period, yellow circular ground markers will appear in various parts of the map which begin to scatter slowly and will eventually move around quickly 5 seconds before the effect takes place. If not standing on one of the ground markers, while also not using Guard_(PvP) before the countdown is over, players will be cast up into the air by Cloud Nine's periodic turbulence becoming temporarily invulnerable to attacks and will take 30,000 damage upon being returned unceremoniously to the ground.

Players who stood on the ground marker without Guard_(PvP), will be rewarded with the black feather buff and will negate the 30,000 damage of being launched into the air. In the event of 2 or more players standing on the same ground marker, the one closest to the center will be the one rewarded with the buff. The black feather buff reduces weaponskill and spell cast speed by 10.42%, while simultaneously granting a significant portion of limit break gauge to the respective player's limit break bar.

Turbulence also leaves behind a twister at the site where the ground markers were, moving in either a clockwise or counterclockwise motion depending on where the ground marker was. Stumbling into these twisters will result in damage and knockback.

Lastly, green orb-like cores are left in various parts of the map that can be walked over and grant movement speed akin to the one found at the start of matches on other maps.

Tactical Considerations
Cloud Nine's Turbulence map effect can be used to a player's advantage in several ways. The following is a list of jobs and their respective tool(s) that either allow them to survive turbulence in a unique way, or force a player or players into it:

*Dragoon - Sky_Shatter_(PvP): Can be used to negate the effects of Turbulence while catching unsuspecting players who already used Guard_(PvP) for the Limit Break's damage.
*Dancer - Contradance_(PvP): Can break target's Guard_(PvP) forcing Turbulence effect damage.
*Reaper - Tenebrae Lemurum_(PvP): Can fear and break targets Guard_(PvP), forcing Turbulence effect damage.
*Warrior - Primal_Scream_(PvP): Can be casted on targets to negate Guard_(PvP), forcing Turbulence effect damage.

Trivia
* The map’s name and design are a nod to the idiom “on cloud nine,” meaning extreme happiness ironically contrasted with its punishing mechanics.
* The floating structure and cloud backdrop draw inspiration from Azys Lla and The Sea of Clouds regions.
*Dancer - Contradance_(PvP): Can break target's Guard_(PvP) forcing Turbulence effect damage.

Trivia
* The map’s name and design are a nod to the idiom “on cloud nine,” meaning extreme happiness ironically contrasted with its punishing mechanics.
* The floating structure and cloud backdrop draw inspiration from Azys Lla and The Sea of Clouds regions.
The Volcanic Heart is a Crystalline Conflict map. It is available for both Custom Matches and Ranked Matches.

Overview
The Volcanic Heart is a Crystalline Conflict arena introduced in Patch 6.1 for Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker. Set within a subterranean magma chamber, the battlefield is defined by periodic volcanic eruptions and a compact central arena that forces fast-paced skirmishes. Its dynamic terrain and timed hazards make it one of the more chaotic and explosive maps available.
Map Layout
Volcanic Heart has a map layout that is symmetrical and compact, focusing on central engagement with limited flanking space:
* Starting Zones: Each team begins in elevated alcoves on opposite sides of the map, connected to the arena by short ramps. Each side's starting zone offers two ground potions found directly forward on the way to the center, and either east (if on Team Astra) or west of the starting spawn if on Team Umbra.
* Central Platform: The tactical crystal begins in the middle of the map on either the west or east side of the center based on starting team.
* Outer Lane: A narrow "speed lane" flanks the side of the arena, offering temporary safe zones during eruption phases but limited cover.
Map Effects & Gimmicks
The Volcanic Heart features one of the most active hazard mechanics in Crystalline Conflict: The Volcanic Eruption.
Volcanic Eruptions occur at set time intervals during gameplay with the first one occurring between one and a half minutes to two minutes after the match starts. Upon eruption, self-destructing bombs scatter across the field which begin glowing orange telegraphs across the battlefield. After a brief delay, massive lava bursts erupt, dealing heavy damage (30,000) and leaving behind a circular orange bomb core (often referred to as a "skittle") that can be walked over and grants the buff Hardcore. Hardcore increases damage dealt by 10.25% multiplicatively for each stack of Hardcore buff.

The eruptions occur in a rotating sequence, meaning experienced players can learn the pattern and position safely between blasts.
Tactical Considerations
During Volcanic Eruption, jobs with displacement tools can capitalize on narrow walkways to secure environmental kills. The following is a list of such jobs and their respective tool(s) that allow them to do so:

*Warrior - Blota_(PvP): Can be casted on target as player stands on telegraph.
*Dark Knight - Salted_Earth_(PvP): Can be casted on surrounding enemies within 10 yalms to draw them into telegraph.
*Sage - Phlegma_III_(PvP): Has a minor draw-in effect along with a root when casted on target and surrounding enemies.
*Monk - Wind's_Reply_(PvP): Pushes target into telegraph.
*Reaper - Tenebrae Lemurum_(PvP): If player is angled correctly, can fear targets into telegraph.
*Bard - Blast_Arrow_(PvP): Can push targets into telegraph similar to Wind's Reply.
*Machinist - Scattergun_(PvP): Can displace and push multiple targets into telegraph.
*Dancer - Contradance_(PvP): Can charm targets into telegraph.
*Summoner - Crimson_Strike_(PvP): Can knockback targets by 5 yalms into telegraph.
*Pictomancer - Advent_of_Chocobastion_(PvP): Can knockback targets if placed and angled correctly into telegraph by 15 yalms.

The Palaistra is a Crystalline Conflict map. It is available for both Custom Matches and Ranked Matches.

Overview
The Palaistra is one of the arenas available for the Crystalline Conflict PvP mode introduced in Patch 6.1. Designed with a Sharlayan aesthetic, the map features a symmetrical layout centered around the crystal objective, encouraging balanced skirmishes and clear sightlines between teams.

Map Layout
The Palaistra features a wide central courtyard where the tactical crystal begins. The area is divided into:

* Starting Zones: Each team begins from opposite sides, behind short corridors leading to the arena proper. Each side's starting zone offers three ground potions each found in the southwest, southeast, and middle portion of their starting area.
* Central Arena: The crystal rests in the middle of an platform surrounded by low walls and that provide partial cover.
* Outer Rings: The outer edges of the map feature elevated walkways (also known as "speed lanes") which offer open space suitable for ranged combat or flanking maneuvers.
Map Effects & Gimmicks
Unlike some other arenas, The Palaistra does not feature any environmental hazards or timed map effects. Combat is straightforward and relies purely on positioning, job coordination, and crystal control. This makes it ideal for learning the fundamentals of Crystalline Conflict.
Trivia
* The name "Palaistra" (Greek: παλαίστρα) refers to an ancient Greek wrestling school or gymnasium, fitting the theme of close-quarters combat.
History
*{{patch|7.18|
Prerequisites
*Players must have completed the Main Scenario Quest main, which unlocks the ability to receive Soul Crystals.
*Players are required to have completed the first Level 30 Job Quest for their respective base class, or have already unlocked a Job, in order to obtain a Soul Crystal.
*While not required for Frontline campaigns, it is very strongly recommended for new players to also unlock mounts via the feature questline, as all Frontline maps make heavy use of mounts to traverse the vast terrain.

Unlock
*Frontline campaigns (and the Frontline Daily Challenge) are unlocked via feature from your respective Grand Company. Players must be at least level 30, and a Soul Crystal must be equipped in order to queue for Frontline campaigns.
Zones and campaigns
Only one particular campaign is available on a given day, but the currently active campaign rotates on daily reset according to the order listed below. * Worqor Chirteh

Rules
Each alliance is divided into three full parties of eight players, and each Frontline match lasts for a maximum of 20 minutes.

The primary goal is to occupy territory (Secure), destroy objectives (Shatter), retrieve data (Seize), or claim designated points (Danshig Naadam). A secondary goal is to KO members of opposing teams, as this awards Battle High (explained below). Earning Battle High makes it easier to gain even more, creating a snowball effect and allowing for greater chances at victory. The successful team will coordinate strategy in the pursuit of both goals.
Landing Platform
* The landing platforms are three Grand Company-specific safe zones where jobs may be changed freely, PvP Role Actions may be set, and where players are revived after being KO'ed. These platforms may be revisited at any time by casting Return.
* At the beginning of the campaign, each Grand Company will be confined to their landing platform and given 45 seconds to prepare.
* Players who leave the landing platform receive a ten-second Invincibility buff that serves to discourage spawn camping by opposing teams.

Communication
* Chat is unrestricted and should be used to coordinate strategy. Enemies cannot see chat. Emotes are unrestricted, but excessively emoting at downed opponents is considered a Prohibited Activity that may result in account sanctions.
* Performance Actions are disabled.

Mounts
* Players may freely ride mounts during Frontline campaigns. However, being attacked in any form will result in being forcibly dismounted and gaining the Hoofing It debuff. This debuff must be waited out, it cannot be cleansed with Purify (PvP).
* Flying and pillion riding are disabled.
Map
* The current state of all objectives is marked on the standard map.
* In addition to showing the positions of all friendly players, the map also shows all enemy players (indicated by colored triangles) that are within sight range of any friendly players.

KDA
KDA (Knockout, Defeat, Assist) is the scoring system used in Frontline matches. If a player deals the finishing blow, they receive a Knockout, and gain 8 points to their Battle High gauge. If they themselves are defeated, they receive a Defeat, and lose half their Battle High Gauge. If they help knock down an opponent, they receive an Assist, and gain 4 points to their Battle High Gauge.

Players who are knocked out lose points for their team, while points are awarded to the victorious team.

Battle High
Battle High is a status that increases damage dealt and HP restored by healing actions according to a player's knockouts, assists, and (in the case of pvp) fulfilling objectives. The healing potency buff also applies to abilities that generate barriers such as Burst (PvP). The maximum rating is 100, and for every increment of 20, the status increases in strength. Being incapacitated will reduce the rating by half. Changing jobs will completely reset the Battle High gauge.
Status
Rating
Effect
Battle High I || 20 to 39 || Damage dealt and healing potency increased by 10%.
Battle High II || 40 to 59 || Damage dealt and healing potency increased by 20%.
Battle High III || 60 to 79 || Damage dealt and healing potency increased by 30%.
Battle High IV || 80 to 99 || Damage dealt and healing potency increased by 40%.
Battle High V || 100 || Damage dealt and healing potency increased by 50%.

Each player's Battle High gauge indicates their current rating. A player attaining Battle High V will be announced to the entire match, as well as KOing a player with Battle High V.

A player's Battle High status is indicated with an icon on their nameplate, which changes according to the rank of their Battle High.
Emotes are unrestricted, but excessively emoting at downed opponents is considered a Prohibited Activity that may result in account sanctions.
* Performance Actions are disabled.
