<div>market board A Market Board allows buying items listed for sale by other players through their retainers. Free Trial players do not have access to Market Boards.</div>

Market boards are interactable objects found in the marketplace and residential areas of each capital city, and marked on the map. All market boards access the same server-wide market, showing all items listed for sale in any city. When using the World Visit System to travel to another server, players can use the market board to access the destination server's market for purchasing, though items cannot be listed for sale there.

Purchases are made with gil Gil for a price set by the selling player, plus a 5% fee on top of the price. This tax is fixed for the buyer, but the seller also pays a tax of between 5%-0% of the list price depending on the city in which the Retainer is stationed. These seller taxes fluctuate on a daily basis, and the current rates can be confirmed by speaking with aRetainer Vocate. For an example, an item listed for 100 will cost the buyer 105 and the seller will receive at minimum 95. These taxes are a method to control inflation by removing gil Gil from the game.

The player-based market often offers better deals and a wider selection than vendor NPCs. Sourcing crafting materials from the market can save a lot of time compared to acquiring them by hand, and equipment from the market can be a cost-effective upgrade, particularly at certain points in the leveling process. The Market Board is also the sole source for HQ High Quality gear for gil Gil, which after Level 50 quickly outpaces normal quality vendor gear in stats.

The market board window allows for searching by item name, either via a name prefix or via a partial match anywhere in the name. Items can also be browsed in categories, optionally filtered by required level and suitable class/job, and added to a custom list of favorites and an ephemeral wish list.
*A Tomran dwarf finds himself far from home. Far by Tomran standards, that is.

*Regitt has made the arduous─but not especially long─journey to Wright in search of Ronitt, the young engineering prodigy whom you once taught to lali-ho. It seems that he has set his sights on the Crystarium, where he hopes to track you down, for reasons that are as yet unclear. You kindly agree to accompany Regitt and unravel the mysteries surrounding Ronitt's sudden departure.

※Please note that the difficulty of this quest has been synced to your current level. Furthermore, you may not proceed with a class or job that is different from when you accepted this quest.

*You and Regitt eventually come across a Crystarium guard who claims to have seen a dwarf not too long ago, over at the Crystalline Mean. Wasting no time, you decide to pursue your one and only lead as to Ronitt's whereabouts.

*Ronitt is, as Regitt had predicted, cowering in a corner, seemingly overwhelmed by the presence of so many “big folk” in one place. Before long, Katliss of the Mean comes to make the acquaintance of the two dwarves, which in turn prompts Ronitt to reveal why he has journeyed to the Crystarium. Until recently, he was under the impression that you were little more than a passing traveler. Having been informed of your heroic achievements, however, he is now determined to perform great deeds of his own, so as not to be outdone by you, his dear friend. As he cannot hope to compete with you in terms of martial prowess, he instead hopes to improve the lives of the various peoples of the realm through his skills as an engineer. Much to his surprise─and no small amount of chagrin─you reveal that you too have an affinity for crafting, to which Ronitt responds by suggesting that the two of you cooperate in helping the Crystalline Mean. Katliss explains that roving sin eaters have taken to attacking merchant caravans of late, and she is looking for a means of transporting their goods across Lakeland without placing the traders at risk. Ronitt toys with the idea of using his existing line of automata as a possible solution, but comes to the conclusion that major improvements must be carried out, necessitating the need for a large and fully furnished workshop. Katliss then offers the use of an area in Lakeland once designated to the Mean, though you will first need to gain the permission of Lorathia, the land owner, who is known to frequent the baths at Clearmelt.

*Ronitt and Regitt get off to a bumpy start with Lorathia, who is not one to tolerate any of their endearing dwarven impertinence. Upon hearing of the plan to upgrade Ronitt's automata, she immediately dismisses the idea, as the current design lacks both the storage capacity for transporting cargo and the weaponry needed to fend off sin eaters. It then dawns on Ronitt that he has been carrying the solution about his person the entire time, and produces from his pocket a blueprint for a tanklike vehicle originally designed by his ancestor and famed engineer, Watts, which he aptly dubbed the “Rolling Tankard.” With room inside for large quantities of goods and a cannon capable of dealing with threats from a distance, all that remains is to actually build one. A task easier said than done, it would seem, as the designs do not show any of its inner workings. Not one to be discouraged, Ronitt claims he will be able to employ modern techniques to finish what would have been impossible in Watts's day. Lorathia eventually caves in and allows the use of her land, mainly out of curiosity, as she too was once an engineer. Ronitt goes ahead to survey the site of the new workshop, with automaton in tow, while Regitt heads back to Tomra to recruit volunteers to assist in building the tanks.

*The plot of land on which you and Ronitt will build the workshop has promise, but there is much to be done before tank production can begin. There are a number of basic supplies that must be procured, though thankfully, Ronitt has already had his automaton gather some raw materials. Eager to see your artisanal skills in practice, he tasks you with putting together the first essential pieces of what will eventually become the workshop.

*With the workshop─now known as Watts's Anvil─complete and Regitt returned from Tomra with a host of dwarven assistants, the complicated task of designing and constructing a prototype tank can begin. Your role will initially be to lend Regitt a hand in crafting various parts and materials, while Ronitt channels his engineering prowess into his next masterpiece.
| description = Long ago, on the far shore of the Source, a great palace was built by the elves─the Grand Cosmos, an edifice of such magnitude it was said to inspire envy in both the heavens for which it was named and the flowers that pervade its boundless gardens. As with so many wonders of the world that once was, its radiance quickly faded in the wake of the Flood, its halls falling silent, the throne sitting empty. That is, until the palace was given new purpose when a mage claimed it as their sanctuary, their only company being solace, solitude, and the legion of familiars barring entrance to any foolish enough to seek an audience.
Seeker Of Solitude
* Shadowbolt: Tankbuster.
* Immortal Anathema: Moderate party-wide damage.
* Tribulation: Creates five small puddles on the floor that inflict Bleeding and Heavy to players standing in them.
** Sweep: After a short delay, the Magicked Brooms on the edges of the room will move in straight lines to a puddle in their 'lane'. While moving, the brooms will damage and knock back players in their path, inflicting a stack of Vulnerability Up. When each broom reaches its respective puddle, Sweep's area of effect will increase and the puddle will be removed.
* Dark Shock: Large Circle AoEs beneath two random players.
* Dark Pulse: Stack marker on a random player.
* Dark Well: Circle AoEs targeted on all four players.

After being defeated, the Seeker of Solitude will cast Magicked Movement to teleport away.

Leannan Sith
* Storm of Color: Tankbuster.
* Ode to Lost Love: Moderate party-wide damage.
* Direct Seeding: The arena will be split into sixteen tiles, with eight random tiles becoming coated in grass. Four Leannan Seed objects will be placed on random tiles. Clicking the seed will allow you to carry it and place it elsewhere.
* Gardener's Hymn: A cast immediately after Direct Seeding. At the end of the long cast, the Leannan Seeds will sprout into Lover's Ring adds. Seeds that sprout on barren tiles immediately die, while seeds sprouting on grass tiles must be killed through combat.
** Toxic Sprout: If left alive for too long, the Lover's Rings will self-destruct to deal high damage to the entire party while also inflicting Slow and a stack of Poison.
* Ode to Far Winds: Eight ground-targeted Circle AoEs and four player-targeted AoEs with very little room to avoid taking two hits from the attack.
* Ode to Fallen Petals: Cast immediately after Ode to Far Winds. A room-wide AoE that leaves a small area around the boss safe.
* Ireful Wind: Subsequent casts of Direct Seeding will cause a Djinn to appear on one edge of the arena that will knock all players and seeds over one tile directly away from the add just as Gardener's Hymn casts.

Insatiable Flame: Lugus
* Scorching Left/Right: Hits the entire arena on the indicated side for high damage and a stack of Vulnerability Up.
* Otherworldly Heat: Indicated by a red marker above all players. First deals damage in a circle around the player, then drops a cross-shaped crack in the floor below each player that explodes a short time later. Damage from this attack can destroy the furniture around the room.
* Captive Bolt: Extremely damaging tankbuster.
* Mortal Flame: Applies a debuff inflicts steadily-increasing damage every few seconds, resulting in death when the timer runs out. Walking into a piece of furniture will pass the debuff onto it, curing you while destroying the object. If it is an object int he room with a name, it is valid. But, only one object per participant. So if someone else or a Trust NPC ignites a piano or stool, you can't also use it. Find something nearby instead.
** Players cannot transfer the debuff between each other. Keep this in mind if there isn't enough furniture for all players to remove their debuffs.
* Fire's Domain: Proximity-based tethers to each player in sequence, charging at them for moderate damage. Move away to turn the tether purple to avoid being inflicted with a stack of Vulnerability Up. Standing in Lugus's path as he charges causes moderate damage.
** Fire's Ire: After each charge, casts a short but wide cone attack at the targeted player. This attack can destroy the furniture around the room.
* Culling Blade: Moderate party-wide damage. The first time Lugus uses this ability, three chandeliers will drop into the room. These chandeliers can be used to remove Mortal Flame.

* Shadowbolt: Tankbuster.

* Storm of Color: Tankbuster.

You must walk all the way into the furniture for this to work.
