'''Reputation''', also known as '''societal relations''' (known as "tribal relations" prior to [[patch 7.0]]), are points that players can earn by helping out the individual friendly [[tribes|allied societies]] and building trust with them. Players receive reputation points through completion of daily [[Allied Society Quests|allied society quests]], earning [[EXP]], [[gil]], [[tomestones]], and other rewards in the process. Building enough reputation with an allied society will increase the player's overall rank with that society, unlocking new quests and items for purchase.

Currently, there are eighteen different allied societies the player may develop relations with:
*[[Amalj'aa Daily Quests|Amalj'aa]], [[Ixali Daily Quests|Ixali]], [[Kobold Daily Quests|Kobold]], [[Sahagin Daily Quests|Sahagin]], and [[Sylph Daily Quests|Sylph]] from ''[[A Realm Reborn]]''.
==Earning Reputation==
[[File:sahaginrelationsreward.PNG|thumb|300px|An example of a daily quest awarding reputation points to the player. Here, completing the quest rewards 20 Sahagin Relations.]]
Reputation points can be earned through the completion of daily quests given by members of the allied societies. Players are given 12 quest allowances per day (viewable in the Timers menu), and may use them to accept any daily quests of their choosing. The amount of points earned per quest varies, based on society and the player's reputation rank.

Depending on the allied society, players are limited on how many quests they may accept from them per day. For ''A Realm Reborn'' societies, each increase in rank unlocks a new quest-giver who will offer three of their own daily quests per day. Players may therefore accept three quests at Neutral rank, six quests at Recognized rank, and so on. For ''Heavensward'', ''Stormblood'', ''Shadowbringers'', and ''Endwalker'' societies, however, the quest-giver always remains the same and continues to offer only three quests per day. As such, only three quests may be accepted on any given day from each society, regardless of rank.

The exception to this is on the day the player achieves a new rank with the allied society. Upon reaching the reputation maximum for the current rank, a new quest becomes available to unlock the next rank (and progress that society's story). Completing that quest and unlocking the next rank makes an additional 3 daily quests available for that society, for that day ''only''. After the next daily reset, the society returns to only offering 3 quests per day. Using these 3 additional bonus daily quests can shorten the total time required to reach maximum reputation rank by 3-5 days, depending on the society, though it comes at the cost of using 3 additional from the global 12-per-day limit on those days. Notably, these 3 additional daily quests are only available when the society's available set of daily quests expands. With the exception of the [[Moogle Daily Quests|Moogle]] and [[Namazu Daily Quests|Namazu]] societies, there are no additional daily quests upon reaching the Sworn rank, and thus there will not be an additional 3 daily quests available that day when reaching Sworn with other societies.

Reputation progress between ranks can be checked at any time by accessing the "Reputation" tab in the Character menu.

==Moving to the next rank==
After the player has filled the required reputation in the current rank, a new quest will appear from the societal leader. Completing this quest will move the player to the next rank where the reputation may be increased again. Once reputation is full for a given rank, no additional reputation can be earned until the player moves to the next rank. If the reputation to the next rank is not an even multiple of the reputation gain per daily quest, some of the reputation gain from the last daily quest turned in to reach that rank's cap is unavoidably lost.

==Ranks==
Reputation is divided into nine different ranks. After completing the requisite quests and unlocking access to an allied society, players will start their relationship either at Neutral (Rank 1) or Friendly (Rank 3) depending on the society.

Not every allied society will use every rank: the Amalj'aa, Kobold, Sahagin, and Sylph societies, for example, "max out" at the reputation rank of Trusted, meaning they cannot achieve any higher rank with reputation points alone. Completion of the appropriate [[Intersocietal Quests|Intersocietal quests]], however, will advance their rank to Allied.

Note that the rank of Allied exists both at Rank 8 and Rank 9. This is because the ''A Realm Reborn'' societies do not use the rank of Bloodsworn and classify Allied as the eighth rank.

Completion of the level 90 quest chain starting with {{questlink|feature|An Unwelcome Visitor}} by talking to [[Claudien]] in [[Labyrinthos]] (X:8.6 Y:27.5). Players first must complete [[Chronicles of a New Era]] quest {{questlink|feature|Who Wards the Warders?}}.
As of [[patch 6.3|patch 6.38]], weekly loot restrictions for tokens have been removed.
==Introduction==
There are a lot of missing pages and blank spaces in this wiki. In an effort to assist in finding all the problems, please edit this page with bulleted lists of things you see that need done. When an item on the list has been worked on, indicate with parenthesis what was done, and if it still needs more info, pictures, formatting, or anything else.

The main goal for this page is to lay out everything that needs user contributions, so even if you only have a few minutes, it is very easy to find something you are particularly interested in or knowledgeable about and shape it up a bit. Be ambitious!

==Important==
* '''Stat Squish''' - As of [[Patch 6.0]] all sources of {{exp}} [[EXP]] are now out of date.
** [[Gatherer's Boon]] (I have attempted to remove references to HQ gathering, but may have missed some [[User:Freedom4556|Freedom4556]] ([[User talk:Freedom4556|talk]]) 18:20, 30 December 2021 (UTC))
** All [[Waist|Belts]] removed from loot tables and sidequests. Report in if you find any lingering. [[User:Freedom4556|Freedom4556]] ([[User talk:Freedom4556|talk]]) 17:40, 23 January 2022 (UTC)
*** All recipes removed from craftable belts [[User:Freedom4556|Freedom4556]] ([[User talk:Freedom4556|talk]]) 17:52, 17 February 2022 (UTC)
* Need to improve [[Seafood]], [[Fishing Guide]] and [[Fish Guide]].
** [[Fishing Locations]] and [[Fishing Log]] - Currently working on this (and above point) as part of Seafood/Fishing hole/log updates - all these old grey templates will be removed eventually. - [[User:JohnnySolas|JohnnySolas]] ([[User talk:JohnnySolas|talk]])
*** The Locations and Log pages are done. The Guide still needs work. [[User:Freedom4556|Freedom4556]] ([[User talk:Freedom4556|talk]]) 16:19, 16 May 2022 (UTC)

* [[A Realm Reborn Overhaul]] needs quest step counts updated. Remove the comment where the step count is the same
* [[Portraits]]
* Action pages
** Differentiate between acquired and affinity for classes/jobs
** Potencies at earlier levels
** Populate gallery
** Categorize into raid buffs, healing, mitigation, etc.
** Crosslink actions that are affected by other actions -- ex. [[Summon Phoenix]]
* Duty images
* Custom deliveries rewards in detail
** Map showing NPC location and relevant crafting material vendor location
* Implement semantics for gear tables and use to update stats since stat squish
** Customizable substats (relic weapons)
*[[Job Gauge]] - still shows DPS stances on tanks. Not updated since [[Stormblood]], looks like. [[User:Freedom4556|Freedom4556]] ([[User talk:Freedom4556|talk]]) 21:49, 21 January 2022 (UTC)
** 29.5.2022 - Updated some general info. Fixed PLD, WAR, DRK, WHM, AST, SAM, added SGE. It's still unclear whether Job gauge refers to an UI element or resource itself. Ingame tooltips seem to use both terms interchangeably.
** 30.5.2022 - Most of the page is modernized, RPR and MNK are incomplete. Other jobs should be checked if they're correct, especially - GNB, SCH, MNK, DRG, NIN, RPR, MCH, BLM, SMN.
** 2.6.2022 - Updated RPR gauge description [[User:Isabella_Murahj|Isabella_Murahj]]([[User talk:Isabella_Murahj|talk]])
** 3.7.2022 - Updated BRD and BLM but someone should probably fix my Gramer. (Note: MCH is looking like it's been updated in a few years but I haven't finished my MCH yet so I'm not sure if my Gauges are correct yet.)
** 4.7.2022 - Fixed some grammar and formatting. If I didn't miss anything, then these jobs still could use some checking and updating: MNK, GNB, SCH, DRG, MCH, SMN. [[User:Deo|Deo]]([[User talk:Deo|talk]])
** Shouldn't we just make it so each job gauge shows data from their respective page? Eg. <code><nowiki>===Paladin==={{:Oath Gauge}}</nowiki></code> and then just update respective [[:Category:Job Gauges|gauge]] pages, so we don't have to write the same thing twice. Downside is that page would be quite packed. Also, we can probably delete most of the PvP-related job gauges, since it does not seem like they're ever coming back [[User:Deo|Deo]] ([[User talk:Deo|talk]]) 12:10, 15 July 2022 (UTC)
*** Yeah, transclusion is out because of all the images. If you wanted to wrap all the individual images in <code><nowiki><noinclude></noinclude></nowiki></code> tags then the gauge pages could be safely transcluded. [[User:Freedom4556|Freedom4556]] ([[User talk:Freedom4556|talk]]) 04:55, 16 July 2022 (UTC)
*** Also, check out the "labeled section transclusion by header" add-on that is used for example on [[PvP Actions]]. [[User:Freedom4556|Freedom4556]] ([[User talk:Freedom4556|talk]]) 04:57, 16 July 2022 (UTC)
** Fixed/checked GNB and DRG. Now only MNK, MCH and SMN are missing. [[User:Deo|Deo]] ([[User talk:Deo|talk]]) 22:44, 23 September 2022 (UTC)
* While this isn't too important can someone get a higher res image of Alphinaud's HW healer class icon I've used this one [[:File:Green Arcanist.png]] but it's not pleasant to look at compared to the others. [[User:Mysterious_ZAP]] ([[User:Mysterious_ZAP|talk]])
*[[:Template:Vendor table]] needs to be fixed to work as described. Ideally, I'd like to use it on pages like [[Tarnished Alexandrian Bolt]] to show all the items that can be gotten ''in exchange for'' the item on the page. Right now we are having to build those tables manually, like on [[Behemoth Horn]]. Basically, the opposite of what [[Template:Vendor list]] does, which is all the vendors selling the item. * Will check - might be a problem - we did once do this because the vendor pages (like scrip exchange) I used to have all of their items on 1 page and it took forever to load and sometimes wouldn't because there was so much data on there, so we increased the template size and it crashed the entire site so they had to revert the change [[User:JohnnySolas|JohnnySolas]] ([[User talk:JohnnySolas|talk]])
On gear templates, the "extractable" and "collectable" fields need to be removed in a safe way since those systems no longer function in a way that needs them. Materia creation no longer destroys items, so all are extractable and collectables are no longer real gear, but separate "Rarefied" items.
