*After furnishing you with your garments, the ceremony outfitter advises you to return to Claribel─though not before encouraging you to /embrace your beloved during the ceremony. *In accordance with tradition, you and your partner must prepare symbols of your undying devotion─the blessed rings you will exchange during the ceremony. *Years have passed since the Calamity, yet Nemoh Maimhov patiently awaits the return of her betrothed, a soldier by the name of Gwayne. Recent talk of a visitor to Gridania matching Gwayne's description has filled the young maiden's heart with hope, yet she cannot work up the courage to investigate for herself. Make for Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre and see if there is any truth to the rumors.

*Your search of the Amphitheatre turned up only Gwayne look-alikes, including a childhood friend of Nemoh's whose unrequited love drove him to a desperate act of deception. Your efforts, however, were not entirely unfruitful, as one of the Gwayne-esque individuals was able to provide you with information regarding the man's true whereabouts. Return and share the news with Nemoh Maimhov.

*Though disappointed that Gwayne remains unfound, Nemoh Maimhov holds out hope that the man sighted at E–Tatt's Spire is indeed her lost love. Travel to the spire and seek out the man in question.

*Good news followed by bad: you have successfully found Gwayne, but the man's memories─including those of his erstwhile betrothed─have been lost to a grievous battle wound, and he abruptly takes his leave. Return to Nemoh Maimhov and break the news as softly as you can.

*Refusing to accept that her love has forgotten her, Nemoh unleashes her frustrations on her childhood friend Gylbart, then entrusts you with a box of chocolates to deliver to Gwayne, in hopes that his memory might yet be stirred. Gylbart, shaken but strong, would speak to you out of Nemoh's earshot, and asks that you meet him at E–Tatt's Spire.

*Gylbart shares with you a sad revelation─the man named Gwayne was actually a notorious philanderer who swindled numerous women out of gifts and gil with empty promises of love and marriage. Out of kindness, he spared Nemoh the cruel truth, choosing to play the villain while he worked in secret to apprehend the true criminal. He entrusts Nemoh's chocolates to you, promising to remain by Nemoh's side as a friend, even if that is all he shall ever be.

*You recount Hortefense's story to the emissary, who immediately discerns the identity of the noblewoman involved. He asks you to return to Lisette, and bid her remain in place while he informs Hortefense of the news.

*The truth is finally revealed: the noblewoman who saved Hortefense's life was none other than Lady Lisette de Valentione herself. Carried away by the excitement of rediscovering his lost love, Hortefense makes a surprise proposal, but is angrily rejected by Lisette. Hortefense is undeterred by her uncharacteristic lack of decorum, however, and the lady reluctantly allows him to remain in her company, provided they begin as friends and nothing more. With Hortefense's lost love discovered, and his long-unspoken ardor confessed, your duties as a laborer of love are finally complete. Speak with Guildmaster Lyngsath at the Bismarck, which Rhoswen has been frequenting often in recent days.

*Lyngsath is reluctant to share Rhoswen's secrets, offering only a cryptic comment that whatever the two are preparing, it is sure to cause sparks. Deliver this somewhat concerning news to O'kalkaya.

*Your report strikes fear into O'kalkaya, who is now convinced that her captain is preparing firesand for a showdown with the Krakens. No sooner does she voice this concern, however, than she realizes that a Kraken deckhand has overheard the entire conversation. She bids you go in pursuit of the man.

*The Kraken deckhand smugly informs you that he has already relayed what he overheard to his captain, who would speak with you about the matter. Seek out Carvallain at the Seventh Sage.

*It would appear that O'kalkaya's concerns were not unfounded, as Carvallain reveals that Rhoswen has challenged him to a duel. Suspecting that the Siren has some underhanded scheme up her sleeve, he insists that you serve as witness to ensure a fair fight. Travel to the designated location ahead of Carvallain to put a preemptive stop to any foul play.

*You are not entirely sure whether you just witnessed a duel or a botched confession of love, but whatever it was, it is mercifully over, with only a single piece of Rhoswen's chocolate remaining in the aftermath. Return the captain's confection to her crewman O'kalkaya.

*Hortefense has been seen in the company of a young lady, and reportedly is going to have their romantic fortune told. Look for the lovestruck servant among the crowds surrounding the fortune-tellers.

*The fortune-teller informs you that Hortefense was there but a short while ago, but he rushed off to a destination unknown after hearing his reading. In his haste Hortefense left behind the Valentione's card of his partner, upon which the name “Lisette de Valentione” is written. The fortune-teller asks you to return the ticket to Lisette, who in fact may not even be aware of her involvement in this incident.

*Not surprisingly, Lady Lisette states that she had no inkling of Hortefense's plans to have their fortunes read, and her mood quickly changes for the worse, for apparently Hortefense had written the wrong nameday on her Valentione's card. She storms off to look for her manservant, and bids you aid in her search.

*You and Lisette find a despondent Hortefense sitting by himself in the Anchor Yard. Lady Lisette berates him for keeping her waiting for so long, and after a bit of prodding, Hortefense reveals the reason for his despair. He confesses that the truth revealed by the fortune-teller was one of the most unfavorable that she had ever delivered, causing Hortefense to flee the Aftcastle on the verge of tears. It is then that Lady Lisette reveals her manservant's mistake, stating that the only recourse is to visit the fortune-teller once again with the correct information. She returns to the Aftcastle, leaving you and Hortefense behind. He expresses his apprehension at the possibility of receiving yet another inauspicious reading, and asks that you attend them as House Valentione's ambassador of ardor and affection. Follow the star-crossed couple to the Aftcastle and observe the fateful augury.

*Lady Lisette and Hortefense start the reading as soon as you arrive. With the correct information at her disposal, the fortune-teller divines the romantic fate of House Valentione's two servants. The fortune-teller reveals that Lady Lisette and Hortefense are more compatible in love than any other couple she has seen. Hortefense takes advantage of this rare moment to profess his true feelings to Lady Lisette, and asks her to join him in marriage. Lady Lisette, after overcoming her initial fluster, agrees to the union. Hortefense is overjoyed, and rushes back to attend to the Valentione's Day festivities with renewed vigor. Lisette de Valentione thanks you before setting off towards what is sure to be a future filled with ardor and affection.

Fearing for the boy's safety, he dashes out for the Ruby Road Exchange in search, and entreats you to join him.

*You find young Reauverre in the markets, yearningly gazing at a loving father and his son. Noticing your presence, he apologizes profusely for having caused you trouble, and promises to return to the children's ward, though with some clear reluctance. You stride off in search of the raven-haired registrar, who will doubtless be pleased to hear the boy is safe.

*The raven-haired registrar breathes a sigh of relief upon hearing that young Reauverre is safe and sound, though he remains troubled by the boy's behavior. He bids you join him back at the children's ward, where he is determined to ascertain the reason for Reauverre's sudden proclivity for mischief-making.

*You return to the children's ward to find a sullen Reauverre angrily dismissing the concerns of the compassionate registrar. The boy begins to run away, but suddenly collapses. As Reauverre rests in his bed, the registrar reveals that while the boy's illness is not immediately life-threatening, the rarity of an herb required in its treatment has resulted in extending his stay at the ward moons longer than originally anticipated. Notwithstanding this, the boy has always shown admirable courage in facing his sickness, which makes his recent behavior all the more troubling. As the raven-haired registrar laments his inability to help the suffering boy, you cannot help but sympathize with his plight...

He quickly gathers himself and proposes that the two of you ask around to see what might be behind the boy's recent malaise. *Along with less practical information, you manage to glean from the children that Reauverre has been sighted concealing an object beneath his bed. You resolve to investigate, in hopes that whatever lies hidden might shine a light upon the boy's recent change in behavior.

*Your search of the space beneath Reauverre's bed reveals an envelope containing a missive for the child. Loath to breach the boy's privacy without proper permission, you resolve to take it to the raven-haired registrar.

*With some pause, the raven-haired registrar decides to open the letter, deeming the boy's safe recovery to take priority over the observation of proper privacy protocol. Within the envelope is a missive from Reauverre's father─an apology for breaking a promise to visit his boy for Starlight. The registrar deduces that this is the cause for the boy's low spirits, and determines that the best course of action is to seek out the father and inform him of Reauverre's plight. He departs for the Hustings Strip to rendezvous with a friend who might have some information as to the father's whereabouts, and entreats you to join him there.

*You arrive at the Hustings Strip to see the raven-haired registrar immersed in conversation with a bearded Lalafell. He explains that the man is an old acquaintance of his mother's who was able to use his vast web of informants to ascertain the whereabouts of Reauverre's father─for a likely substantial fee. As the physician tells it, the boy's father is currently in Limsa Lominsa awaiting a vessel to carry him east to Radz-at-Han. He bids you hurry there with news of Reauverre's state in hopes of catching the father before he sets sail.

*You find Reauverre's father on the ferry docks in Limsa Lominsa. The man is deeply pained to hear of his son's despondent state, but explains that he simply cannot return to Ul'dah at this time. As he tells it, he is on the verge of procuring a sizable stock of the rare herb needed to treat his boy's illness─an opportunity that may never present itself again. He proffers a gift intended for Reauverre, and bids you take it to the boy in his stead. You resolve to return to the children's ward and do precisely that─after checking in with the registrar, of course.

*Upon hearing your story and seeing the gift entrusted to you by Reauverre's father, the registrar is hopeful that this act should suffice to return a smile to the boy's face, and the will to stave off illness back to his heart. Observing the bond of friendship you have forged with the boy, he bids you be the one to make the special delivery.

*Reauverre initially balks at the gift, but relents when you and the registrar explain the true reason behind his father's breaking of his Starlight promise. Finally coming to understand that both his father and those around him have only his health and happiness at heart, the boy breaks into a beaming smile and resolves to triumph over his sickness, that the day he may live with his father once more may not be far off. The registrar breathes a sigh of relief, and bids you come to the admitting desk, where he would have a final word with you in private.

*A surprise visit from Guildmaster Severian of the Alchemists' Guild leads the registrar to reveal to you his true identity. He is none other than Damielliot─a one-time patient of the children's ward who now serves as its director, a position he inherited from his parents, who lost their lives in the Calamity. He reflects upon his own reasons for choosing the path of a physician, and thanks you for the kindness you have shown to those who need it most this Starlight season. In the end, he encourages you to return to the children's ward before Starlight is over, that your presence might bring good cheer to his charges once more.!

*Upon hearing your recital of Timothey's story, the celebrant once more returns you to your mission of kindness. Travel to the Central Shroud and search the area near the Mirror Planks for Timothey's missing bracelets.

*You see no sign of the missing bracelets. Expand your search, and keep looking for Timothey's treasured mementos.

*You still have yet to discover any trace of the dropped bracelets. Continue searching the nearby area.

*As you scour the ground for Timothey's missing bracelets, you are approached by a snowy-haired gentleman in scarlet garb who claims to have found the treasures you seek. The wandering pilgrim explains that he discovered the damaged jewelry by accident, and has repaired them with some minor improvements. Return to Timothey at Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre and deliver the brassy bangles.

*Although initially dubious of the authenticity of the bracelets, your explanation eventually convinces Timothey that the Saint of Nymeia himself had a hand in returning to him his treasured possessions. Return to Amh Garanjy in the Lavender Beds, and tell her of Timothey's joyous transformation.

*After listening to your happy tale, Amh Garanjy is reminded of a similar encounter she had with a snowy-haired pilgrim when she was a young girl. The celebrant believes that that moment of kindness was what set her on her current path, and wonders if the wandering gentleman you both met was not the Saint of Nymeia in truth. *The troubled Baenfaeld explains that he would be glad to provide Collys with the details for her special edition if only they could first fix the old signal bell that is to be the main attraction. He asks that you speak with Hervey, the Adventurers' Guild's best goldsmith, and see how the repairs are progressing. Seek out the artisan near the Ruby Road Exchange in Ul'dah.

*You find Hervey just as he has determined the cause of the bell's refusal to clang. It seems that the clapper has rusted through, and the goldsmith laments that he has not the skills to forge a new one. Acquire a new iron clapper for the signal bell, then return to Hervey with the replacement part.

An iron clapper can be crafted using blacksmithing, or purchased from the market boards.

*You deliver a replacement clapper to Hervey, and he immediately affixes the part. The melody he produces from the repaired bell, however, is not as festive as he had hoped. With the prompting of a passing little helper, the goldsmith decides to have you request a famous composer to modify the Ishgardian soldiers' tune into a more celebratory arrangement. Make your way to Mih Khetto's Amphitheatre in Gridania, and present the signal bell and its accompanying sheet music to Cahernaut.

*You place the bell and sheet music before the discerning eyes of Cahernaut, but the composer is unsure that even his genius can coax an appropriate tone from the signal bell's limited musical range. As you wonder what will become of the festival, you are paid an unexpected visit by a white-bearded man dressed as the Saint of Nymeia. The saint offers to work a seasonal miracle upon the bell, and, after a few moments of metalworking ministrations, hands the newly gleaming instrument back to Cahernaut. The composer, inspired by this display of goldsmithing prowess, soon has the bell's old song arranged into an enchanting melody. Return to Limsa Lominsa, and deliver the Starlight bell─and its rearranged sheet music─to Baenfaeld in East Hawkers' Alley.

*You deliver the Starlight bell to an appreciative Baenfaeld. The contrite celebrant explains that although he has thrown out his original plans in favor of a more child-focused festival, his efforts to purchase wondrous decorations for the bell frame have his head spinning in confusion. Almost as if on cue, you are once more taken aback by an unexpected visit: four costumed little helpers appear, and offer their assistance with the preparations. Still reeling at the experience, Baenfaeld wonders if Hervey's shopping trip will be subject to a similar interruption. Find the goldsmith somewhere in Limsa Lominsa.

*You locate Hervey attempting to procure more decorations, and, as expected, you are visited by four more little helpers. Offering little chance to refuse, the costumed artisans take possession of the restored bell, and rush off to complete the centerpiece of the festival. Hurry back to the Aftcastle, and see what has become of the Starlight bell.

*By the time you return to the Aftcastle, it seems the little helpers' work is already done. The main bell has been returned to a beautifully decorated frame, and the jubilant melody that next rings forth has child and grown-up alike beaming with joy. Speak with Baenfaeld and share his thoughts on the celebration.

*Baenfaeld thanks you again for all you have done, and expresses how glad he is that the festival was saved from the pompous event it threatened to become. *You fight at the wandering minstrel's side, and turn back the wave of insectoid invaders. Return to the Ruby Road Exchange and report to Nonora.

*You relay your victory to an appreciative Nonora, but the wandering minstrel is swift to put your achievement into perspective─unless a permanent solution is found, the bugs will continue to proliferate. Take the bug scrap you discovered to the wandering composer nearby, and ask him for his interpretation of the strange sound the object emits.

*The itinerant composer discerns a definite rhythm and melody amid the noise, and notes a sequence of unfamiliar symbols on the scrap which seem to change in time to the sound. He suggests speaking with his acquaintance─a translator─who may be able to decipher the message. Locate the wandering translator in Arrzaneth Ossuary, and show him the bug scrap.

*After peering intently at the symbols on the scrap, the translator deciphers two distinct themes: "proliferation" and "command." Unsure of the significance of these words, however, he recommends you speak with yet another visitor to Ul'dah whose eclectic knowledge of ancient civilizations may hold the answers you seek. Find the wandering author and request his assistance.

*You recount your predicament to the visiting author who is reminded of a passage he came across while researching for a novella set in ancient Allag. It seems that the Allagans once developed a mechanism that allowed for the mass production of mechanical armaments. Seek out the wandering engineer at the Goldsmiths' Guild, and invite him to speculate upon the exact nature of the mechanism at work.

*After explaining the purpose of the signal emitted by the scrap, the engineer reasons that playing a specific melody upon the bugs' defeat could interfere with the replication command. Take the scrap and the engineer's report, and return to the wandering minstrel at the Ruby Road Exchange.

*You hand the engineer's report to the waiting minstrel, and share with him the rest of your findings. Inspired by the talented souls that jointly crafted a solution to the bug problem, he feels moved to compose an ode on the spot. The song has scarcely begun, however, when your mind is whisked away to another world introduced to you as the "Eighteenth Floor." When you are ready, approach the man in charge of this strange place: one "Naoki Yoshida."

*On behalf of the Eighteenth Floor's resident creators, Naoki Yoshida thanks you for your heroic deeds in the realm of Eorzea. Before you can ask how he and his colleagues came to hear of your tale, you awaken in Ul'dah as if nothing had happened. She introduces herself as the leader of the Crystal Caravan, a traveling puppet troupe. The group plans to mark the anniversary of the realm's rebirth by putting on a play depicting the Calamity, but the actor assigned the part of the Warrior of Light would like more information to fully bring his role to life. On top of that, the script the troupe has been given is proving less than helpful in determining how best to act. Desiring to host the most entertaining show possible, the troupe asks you to bring their would-be hero to the Quicksand, that he might hear Momodi's version of events and use her story to inform his performance.

*Momodi is eager to share her recollections of the events of five years past, and laments that none can remember the faces or names of the Warriors of Light. She stresses that at the very least, the selflessness of their deeds should be remembered, and the Crystal Caravan's actor promises to live up to her request. The Quicksand proprietress suggests visiting Baderon at the Drowning Wench, so you might gain further knowledge of that fateful day.

*Baderon furrows his brow in an attempt to remember the events surrounding the Calamity, and recalls the day the Eorzean Alliance took to the battlefield under the specter of Dalamud. He tells of how the dreadwyrm Bahamut burst forth from the moon, blanketing the land with flame. The old pirate further says that although they faced certain doom, the troops fought on, until almost as suddenly as he appeared, the dragon vanished from the skies. Although no one knows exactly what happened, the realm was spared certain annihilation. The budding thespian is once again inspired, pledging to capture the heroism of the soldiers and the ferocity of Bahamut. Baderon suggests you ask one more person for their tale: Miounne at the Carline Canopy. Sensing that his muse is stirring, the actor departs for Gridania.

*Miounne takes a more somber tone in her recollection, and at your companion's behest tells you of the Archon Louisoix. She says the man is much loved in Gridania, even now, and that he often worked together with the Warriors of Light. His sacrifice at the Battle of Carteneau is remembered by one and all, and Miounne's words encourage the Crystal Caravan star to immortalize the Archon's deeds on the stage. With his muse stirred from its slumber, the actor returns to Ul'dah, where he will commence rehearsing his role with a new fervor.

*The Crystal Caravan leader thanks you for your aid, but before you can leave the rest of the troupe appears with grave news: the star actor has been injured, and cannot take the stage. Crestfallen that they might miss an opportunity to perform, the troupe is about to give up when their leader is struck with a brilliant idea. She suggests that you take the stage in the injured actor's stead, a suggestion to which you readily agree. Although you are inexperienced, the ventriloquists assure you they can carry even the poorest acting. *The Moonfire Faire is in full swing, and Haermaga is ready to outdo himself once again─with the help of a certain adventurer. ※This quest is available for a limited time only.

*Once again it is time for the Moonfire Faire, and the Adventurers' Guild is in need of extra hands to help make it the most memorable one yet. Haermaga has asked you to assist the chaperones at Costa del Sol with the many problems they are facing. Help the guild with the faire by reporting to the chaperone P'obyano to hear what it is she requires from you. ※Please note that you will be unable to complete this quest after the seasonal event has ended. *P'obyano happily explains that the Adventurers' Guild has no shortage of work for an eager volunteer. A few difficulties are bound to occur during a celebration as exciting as the Moonfire Faire, and right now P'obyano is dealing with unruly pirates, dirty beaches, inquisitive beasts, and hungry customers. Anyone willing to lend their aid can receive Faire tokens as a reward. Choose the tasks most suitable for yourself and ensure that the Moonfire Faire proceeds without a hitch.

*J'nangho looks off into the distance, a deepening frown upon her lips. ※This quest is available for a limited time only.

*It is an unusually hot day in Costa del Sol, and J'nangho is concerned that the Black Ranger will overexert herself if she attempts to complete her regular training regimen. After trying and failing to convince the obstinate Ranger to stay indoors until temperatures drop, she asks that you deliver three cups of rolanberry shaved ice to the lady in black so that she will not succumb to the summer heat.

*You deliver the rolanberry shaved ice to the Black Ranger. Taking the first of the cups, she expresses to you her dislike of ice. Upon explaining to her that it is not for the pleasure of eating but rather to counteract the heat from the sun, she hands the cup back to you, proposing the two of you play a game of hide-and-seek, but with a twist. You will give her a head start of twenty seconds to hide. She will continue performing squats as you search for her and, if you find her before she is able to complete the designated number, you win. Should she finish before you find her, she wins. The loser must then eat the shaved ice as punishment.

*You spy the Black Ranger and see that she has yet to complete her squats. Approaching her, you offer her the first cup of rolanberry shaved ice, once more, and this time she does not hesitate. Taking it from you, she gulps it down before racing off to begin her next round of squats. Find and deliver the second cup of shaved ice to her.

*When you find her, the Black Ranger is only a few squats away from finishing. Sighing with defeat, she extends her hand to receive the rolanberry shaved ice and quickly eats it. Declaring the number of squats she intends to acheive with the next round, she runs off. Locate her and deliver the last cup of shaved ice to the Black Ranger.

*The Black Ranger quickly downs the final cup of soppy rolanberry ice and while clearly disappointed by today's outcome, she seems determined, promising to improve so that she might further aid the Red and Yellow Rangers. Return to Haermaga and inform him of the successes and failures of today's session.

*Haermaga is delighted by your dedication and the progress of his rangers. He asks that you continue supporting them with the same fervor you have shown today.

*When balloons of every color fill the sky and the people don yukatas to endure the summer heat, Eorzeans across the realm know the season of the Moonfire Faire is upon them once more. The excitement in the air is tangible, but none are more enthusiastic about the festivities than the faire chaperone Mayaru Moyaru, who approaches you with an offer. He tells you that in exchange for your assistance, you will be given special rewards. Sensing your interest has been piqued, he bids you to go and speak with Haermaga, the grand chaperone of this year's event, for details.

*Haermaga tells you that the Bombard King has risen again and that he and a few members from the Adventurers' Guild intend to put an end to his reign before it can begin. At first, he asks that you support them by exterminating some of the minions that have accompanied their king to Costa del Sol, but then in hushed tones, he bids you meet him by the waterfall in a quarter bell that he might explain to you a top secret mission, only meant for your ears.

*A trio of masked rangers clad in red, black, and yellow appears before you. After a few bold introductions, they explain to you that while their powers, when combined in the Firefall Battle Formation, are strong enough to take down the Bombard King, it is something they cannot pull off with any measure of consistency. To improve their success rate, they turn to you, asking that you help them with their training. Report to Haermaga should you be interested in offering your assistance.

*Haermaga is delighted to hear you are willing to help the Go Go Posing Rangers with their training. He would like you to begin working with the Red Ranger straightaway and refers you to J'nangho, who will fill you in on the details.
